Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a pressurized package dispenses a formula comprising a foaming agent into a liquid. The internal pressure of the package generates turbulence that causes some of the formula to disperse throughout the liquid and some of the formula to form a foam on a surface of the liquid.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a valve for a container, the valve comprising: a grommet defining a channel with an inlet end and an outlet end; a stem, slideably arranged in said channel; the grommet comprising a first part provided at said inlet end and a second part provided at said outlet end, wherein the first part has a hardness greater than the hardness of the second part.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a dispensing device, particularly a dispensing head proposed for preferably cosmetic liquid. A simple, tightly closing structure of an outlet valve is achieved in that a valve element is injected onto a wall and/or lies thereon with its entire surface or flat surface when the valve is closed and/or the valve element covers an outlet opening on the flat side. Alternatively or in addition, the valve element is pretensioned into a closed position when the valve is closed.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fragrance or paint sprayer. The sprayer, comprises a spraying mechanism, two liquid containers, a liquid adjustment mechanism; the spraying mechanism having a knob for activating a pump or a release valve for dispensing a liquid coming from an inlet to an outlet; two liquid feeding tubes, one end of each of the two liquid feeding tubes being in liquid communication with each of the two liquid containers respectively, and the other end of each of the two liquid feeding tubes being jointed and connected to the inlet of the spraying mechanism; the liquid adjustment mechanism comprising two sets of adjoining sloped surfaces and sets of rollers in surface contact with respective flexible portions of each of two liquid feeding tubes and, when the rollers are moving from right to left, changing flow passage areas inside the flexible portions in such a way that the amount of liquid supplied from each of the two liquid containers through each of the two liquid feeding tubes is adjusted. When flow of liquid from one feeding tube is increased by the adjustment mechanism, the flow from the other feeding tube decreases in a way that the total amount of the liquid supplied by the two feeding tubes is substantially constant. In practice, it is possible to mix two liquids, such as two different perfumes with different fragrances to create a new fragrance, or two different color paints to create a new paint color.
Abstract:
An inhaler for delivering medicament by inhalation comprises a canister which comprises a body which includes a base and a head and defines a chamber containing medicament, and a valve stem which extends from the head of the body and from which medicament is in use delivered on actuation of the canister. The inhaler further comprises an actuator comprising a main body comprising a housing receiving the canister, and an actuation mechanism for actuating the canister. The actuation mechanism comprises a loading member which is fitted to the head of the canister body and includes a loading section which is located at a distance spaced from the base of the body of the canister and, in use, acted upon to drive the loading member in an actuating direction from a first, rest position to a second, actuated position in which the canister is actuated to deliver medicament. The actuation mechanism further comprises at least one actuating member which is actuatable by a user to drive the loading member in the actuating direction to the actuated position, such as to actuate the canister to deliver medicament. The at least one actuating member is pivotally coupled to the housing for pivotal movement relative to the housing from a first, rest position to a second, actuated position in which the loading member is driven in the actuating direction to the actuated position, such as to actuate the canister to deliver medicament. The at least one actuating member comprises a gripping element which extends along a length of the housing and is configured to be gripped and depressed by the user in actuating the canister.
Abstract:
A dispensing assembly is provided for a container of fluent material. A hand-operable dispenser cartridge is adapted to be mounted to the container. An actuator, which may include a nozzle or spout, is mounted on the cartridge. A locking sleeve is mounted around the cartridge and has an upper abutment edge and a recess. The locking sleeve can be rotated between a first rotated position preventing actuation of the dispensing assembly and a second rotated position permitting actuation of the dispensing assembly.
Abstract:
An axially actuated valve for use in a pressurized container that is easily actuated and controlled by a user to dispense the amount of product desired. The valve stem is moved in an up and down direction so that when dispensing, the user can control the amount of the valve openings that are in communication with the material to be dispensed. A resilient grommet surrounds the valve stem and has a recessed portion in its base that receives the valve stem button when the valve is in the closed state. The grommet has a squared off interior annular lower corner. This provides a grommet surface that is flush with the valve stem. This design permits use of a minimum size button and also facilitates user metered dispensing. The stem may have openings partially tapered in the form of an inverted truncated pyramid to facilitate user control of the dispensing of product.

Abstract:
An aerosol device for dispensing texture material for matching existing acoustical ceiling texture. The device comprises a container, a valve assembly, a dispensing nozzle, a hardenable material, and pressurized inert gas as a propelling mechanism. The hardenable material and pressurized inert gas are placed into the container. When the valve assembly is opened, the inert gas forces the hardenable material out of the container through the dispensing nozzle. The dispensing nozzle diverts at least a portion of the hardenable material exiting the container to develop a spray suitable for the application of the hardenable material onto the ceiling surface being textured. The hardenable material preferably comprises at least water, filler, binder, and polystyrene particles. The inert gas is preferably nitrogen.
Abstract:
An aerosol canister containing sanitizing liquid and propellant is provided to sanitize exposed surfaces in a room in a short period of time. The canister is placed in a closed room and its dispensing valve is actuated to dispense the sanitizing liquid in an aerosol mist of droplets which expand to fill the room in mere minutes. The canister can include a weighted rounded base to enable the canister to be tossed into the room and assume an upright dispensing position. The base can be filled with weighting material just before use. One embodiment can be rolled into the room.
