Abstract:
The present invention relates to a homogenous, flowable solution of an alpha olefin sulfonate, ethanol and water which can be used in the formulation of cleaning compositions.
Abstract:
A light duty liquid detergent with desirable cleansing properties and mildness to the human skin comprising: a sodium salt of a sulfonate surfactant, an alkali metal or ammonium salt of a C.sub.8-18 ethoxylated alkyl ether sulfate anionic surfactant, a salting-in salt, a salting-out salt, and water.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a method of manufacturing a concentrated aqueous solution of an amine oxide and the use of the solution in cleaning compositions.
Abstract:
Biodegradable fabric softener premix compositions are described containing (1) biodegradable softener actives that contain substantial unsaturation and (2) perfume. The premixes can be added at ambient temperatures to water containing acid, to provide a pH of from about 1.5 to about 5, to form finished compositions. The water can also contain calcium and/or magnesium salt to modify the viscosity.
Abstract:
A light duty liquid detergent with desirable cleansing properties and mildness to the human skin comprising: two different sulfonate surfactants, an alkali metal or ammonium salt of a C.sub.8-18 ethoxylated alkyl ether sulfate anionic surfactant, an alkyl polyglucoside surfactant, an alkanol amide or amine oxide and an antibacterial system comprising trichlorohydroxydiphenyl ether, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkanol and an alkali metal halide, and water.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a composition for an aqueous rinsing solution for removing deposits from surfaces of showers and the like, and the use of such a composition for rinsing showers clean and for providing a pleasant sheen to shower surfaces without scrubbing or wiping. The composition includes a cleaning surfactant, an alcohol, and optionally, a super wetting surfactant, a disinfectant and a base for adjusting pH.
Abstract:
The invention provides an aqueous, hard surface cleaner with significantly improved residue removal and substantially reduced filming/streaking, said cleaner comprising: (a) an effective amount of at least one organic solvent with a vapor pressure of at least 0.001 mm Hg at 25.degree. C., and mixtures of such solvents; (b) an effective amount of at least one semi-polar nonionic surfactant, said surfactant having the structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is C.sub.5-20 alkyl, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are both C.sub.1-4 alkyl, or --(CH.sub.2).sub.p --OH, although R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 do not have to be equal, and p is 1-6; (c) an effective amount of a buffering system which comprises a nitrogenous buffer which will result in a pH of greater than 6.5; and (d) the remainder as substantially all water.
Abstract:
An aqueous glass cleaning composition with optimal vertical cling and ease of use properties contains at least one compound selected from the group consisting of nonionic surfactants, linear alcohols, an organic ether having the formula: R.sub.1 --O--R.sub.2 wherein R.sub.1 is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 linear, branched or cyclic alkyl or alkenyl optionally substituted with --OH, and R.sub.2 is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 linear, branched or cyclic alkyl or alkenyl substituted with --OH; a synthetic polymeric agent having a high thickening efficiency; and an anti-streaking alcohol.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to compositions and methods of removal of contaminants from textiles and related fabrics and garments utilizing compositions which pose no significant risk to groundwater and which are substantially biodegradable. Compositions according to the present invention are substantially non-toxic, substantially bio-degradable liquids at room temperature or higher and are effective in removing substantial quantities of contaminants from fabrics, especially including garments. The present compositions contain at least one dibasic ester, an alcohol, water and at least one surfactant.
