Abstract:
This invention relates to technology field of cloud storage and especially relates to a cloud storage data access method. The method comprises: a step of data storing and a step of data retrieving. The data storing step comprises: converting a file to be stored into a group of data blocks to form a physical part of the file, saving a logical part of the file, which is formed by information of restoring the physical part back to original file; distributing the physical part to multiple cloud storage data centers for storage; and saving storing location information of the data blocks of the physical part in the cloud storage data centers in the logical part; the step of data retrieving comprises: acquiring the file's logical part according to a file access request; retrieving the physical part of the file from at least one of the cloud storage data centers according to the logical part information and restoring the physical part to the original file according to the logical part information. This invention also provides a cloud storage data access apparatus and system. This invention improves cloud storage data access performance, facilitates storage space saving, increases data transmission bandwidth, and strengthens data security.
Abstract:

In one embodiment, the method comprises allocating at least one diversity cluster of subcarriers to a first subscriber and allocating at least one coherence cluster to a second subscriber.
Abstract:
A method and system for communications roaming discloses that end subscribers apply for numbers provided by roaming networks, connect their numbers in local networks to roaming network ones and then store them in the database in Global Roaming Interface Agent (GRIA). When a called number is dialed, the calling communications network first determines if the calling number or the called number belongs to a number in local network. If no, the calling network sends Global Roaming Interface Agent a request to search and check if the number in roaming network is stored under the calling number or the called number; if yes, the corresponding calling number or called number in roaming network will be used as the number for communication. Taking the technical solution from this invention, a flexible and low-cost global roaming communications system can be achieved by binding subscribers' multiple numbers to establish a uniform end-subscriber communications interface.
Abstract:
A system and method for producing a scaffold coated and/or impregnated with at least one bioactive agent. This is accomplished by culturing at least one cell in the same medium as a scaffold, but without physical contact between the at least one cell and the scaffold. The system includes a container having a surface defining an interior compartment. A medium is disposed within the interior compartment. At least one cell is disposed within the medium, the at least one cell being capable of producing at least one bioactive agent. Further, a scaffold is disposed within the medium. The scaffold is physically separated from the at least one cell such that there is no contact between the scaffold and the at least one cell. Thus, as the at least one cell produces at least one bioactive agent, such as a growth factor, the at least one bioactive agent enters the medium, and contacts and coats and/or impregnates the scaffold. However, due to the physical separation of the scaffold and at least one cell, the at least one cell is prevented from contacting and coating and/or impregnating the scaffold. Thus, only the desired bioactive agent or agents coat and/or impregnate the scaffold.
Abstract:
A bipolar electrode comprises an intermediate layer comprising one or more carbon materials. The bipolar electrode further comprises first and second layers disposed on opposite surfaces of the intermediate layer and configured to act as an anode and a cathode. The first and second layers comprise at least one of one or more electrically conductive carbon materials and one or more conductive polymers. A supercapacitor desalination device and a method for making the bipolar electrode are also presented.
Abstract:
The present invention is drawn to an encapsulated pigment. The pigment can be encapsulated by both a first polymer layer and a second polymer layer, with the second polymer layer encapsulating the first polymer layer and/or the pigment. The first polymer layer can have less than 2 wt % polymerized acid monomer. The second polymer layer is more hydrophilic than the first polymer layer, and is present at a weight ratio of first polymer layer to second polymer layer of greater than about 1.5:1. Methods of forming an encapsulated pigment are also presented.
Abstract:
Biocompatible, bioerodible sustained release implants and microspheres for intracameral or anterior vitreal placement include an anti-hypertensive agent and a biodegradable polymer effective to treat an ocular hypertensive condition (such as glaucoma) by relapsing therapeutic amount of the anti-hypertensive agent over a period of time between 10 days and 1 year.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for antenna switching, grouping, and channel assignments in wireless communication systems. The invention allows multiuser diversity to be exploited with simple antenna operations, therefore increasing the capacity and performance of wireless communications systems. Channel characteristics indicative of signal reception quality for downlink or bi-directional traffic for each channel/antenna resource combination are measured or estimated at a subscriber. Corresponding channel characteristic information is returned to the base station. Channel characteristics information may also be measured or estimated for uplink or bi-directional signals received at each of multiple receive antenna resources. The base station employs channel allocation logic to assign uplink, downlink and/or bi-directional channels for multiple subscribers based on channel characteristics measured and/or estimated for the uplink, downlink and/or bi-directional channels.
