Abstract: A door system having a linkage assembly with a drive arm and an attendant arm coupled at the ends through a gear joint. The gear joint has drive teeth on an end of the drive arm and attendant teeth on an end of the attendant arm. The drive arm is coupled to a motor in the door system that is coupled to a door, or a door frame or a wall. The attendant arm is coupled to the opposite of the door, or the door frame or the wall to which the door system is coupled. When the door system is installed on the push side or the pull side of the door the drive arm and the attendant arm are parallel with the door and the upper door frame. During operation the motor transfers the torque from the motor through the gear joint to open the door.

Abstract: A sliding door for use as an escape and rescue door has a drive actuated by a door control device, wherein the door control device receives signals from a sensor system including a plurality of sensors and, optionally, from a higher-order central station. The door control device actuates the drive to perform a standard opening during a standard operation when the received sensor signals indicate at least one opening condition as satisfied and the sensor system signals an approach to the sliding door. The door control device switches to emergency operation when the received sensor signals indicate an emergency, wherein the door control device actuates the drive to perform an emergency opening in an emergency operation, irrespective of whether the received sensor signals indicate the at least one opening condition as satisfied, when at least one sensor signals an approach to an inner side of the sliding door.

Abstract: An entrance system (1) comprises a swing door member (10) having a door leaf (12), and a sensor unit (S1; S) mounted to the door leaf (12), the sensor unit comprising a door angle sensor (S1). The entrance system (1) further comprises an automatic door operator (30) having a motor (34) capable of causing movement of the door member (10), a controller (31) for controlling operation of the motor (34), and a linkage (40) connected to the automatic door operator (30) and the door leaf (12) for transferring torque generated by the motor (34) to the door leaf (12). The automatic door operator (30) is operable in a learn mode (60) and an operational mode (70). In the learn mode (60), the controller establishes a linkage reduction curve (65) relating a movement of said door member (10) with the torque required to move the door leaf (12) through different angles (α). The door leaf angles are determined from measurement readings of said door angle sensor (S1). In the operational mode (70), the controller compensates for a non-linear torque transfer characteristic of the linkage (40) by applying the linkage reduction curve (65) to control the motor (34).

Abstract: A method for controlling a motorized flap assembly of a motor vehicle, wherein the flap assembly includes a pivotable flap, a drive arrangement associated with the flap and a control arrangement for controlling the drive arrangement. A position sensor for determining position information related to the position of a selected component of the flap assembly is associated with the flap assembly and movement commands for the drive arrangement are generated by the control arrangement based on the position information, to close the flap to an upright closed position during a motorized closing process and to open the flap to a horizontal open position during a motorized opening process. The pivoted open flap may be occupied by an object or a person. The position sensor detects the object or person based on at least one occupancy criterion and an occupancy reaction is triggered depending on the detected occupancy state.
