Abstract:
Movable partition systems may include a chain guide structure extending along a curved path. The chain guide structure may have a specified maximum width, and may include attachment flanges that project laterally from a central beam beyond laterally outward ends of chain guide members of the chain guide structure by a specified minimum distance. Overhead support systems for movable partition systems may include such chain guide structures. Methods of forming overhead support systems and movable partition systems may include stretch forming a bent chain guide structure. Methods of installing overhead support systems and movable partition systems may include inserting fasteners at least substantially perpendicularly through attachment flanges of a chain guide structure to secure the chain guide structure to an overhead structure.

Abstract:
A sectional door having a door frame, a door panel comprising sections coupled to another in articulated manner, a weight equalization device coupled to the door panel, and an electrical door drive for opening and closing movements of said door panel. The uppermost section in the closed position of the door panel, is guided on running rails as the header section, wherein said rails extend essentially horizontally up to the door frame, and have a vertical end segment on the frame side. The other sections that follow below the header section are guided in guide rails that have a vertical segment along the door frame, a horizontal segment parallel to the running rail that holds the header section, and an arc that joins the two segments. With this device, the door drive is attached to one of the sections connected below the header section, and has at least one power take-off shaft having an impeller at the end. The driven impeller engages in the guide rail and moves the door panel.
Abstract:
An articulated device comprises a first member (4) that is provided with a first set of teeth fixedly connected thereto (20, 22). A second adjacent member (6) is provided with a second set of teeth fixedly connected thereto (24, 26). A coupling section (32, 38) is also provided on which the first set of teeth is hingeably supported around a first hinge axis (28, 34) and on which the second set of teeth is hingeably supported around a second hinge axis (30, 36) wherein the first set of teeth engages with the second set of teeth. A positioning device sets an angular position of the first and second members relative to the coupling section.
Abstract:
The present invention is a system for high torque operation of a movable barrier utilizing a compact hub motor device, which may be directly coupled to a movable barrier without the use of additional gearing systems. The flat geometry provides high dynamic acceleration with short electrical and mechanical time constants, and its planetary gearing system implemented within the device allows for compact, more efficient access systems. Eliminating a gear system in accordance with the present invention lowers maintenance requirements, increases efficiency, and streamlines operation of movable barriers.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a powered guide chain system (1), comprising a powered guide chain (3), for guiding cables (4), hoses or the like between a stationary and a mobile connection point, a driver (7) to which the powered guide chain (3) is connected via the mobile connection point, and a guide channel (8), which comprises a hollow profile with a passage (9) for the driver (7), extending in the longitudinal direction, whereby the powered guide chain (3) is guided into the guide channel (8) in the longitudinal direction thereof, forming two runs which are guided parallel to each other and connected to each other via a deviation area. The invention also relates to a sliding door system (2) for a vehicle, provided with said powered guide chain system (1). The aim of the invention is to obtain an easy and safe guidance of cables (4), hoses or the like in at least two directions. Said aim is achieved, whereby the driver (7) comprises a mobile arm (12) which protrudes from the guide channel (8) with a fastening side (13) for connection to a device movable in relation to the guide channel (8), the distance between the fastening side (13) and the guide channel (8) being changeable in a travel component transverse to the longitudinal direction of the guide channel (8).
Abstract:
The invention is a system for gearless operation of a movable barrier utilizing Lorentz forces, and in particular, a movable barrier operator retrofitted with a gearless motor capable of high torque at very low speeds. Eliminating a gear system in accordance with the present invention lowers maintenance requirements, increases efficiency, and streamlines operation of any movable barrier. By utilizing a motor which produces high-torque at low a speeds a system in accordance with the present invention does away with the need for complicated gears and pulley systems in order to achieve control of movable barriers. The present invention allows manufacturers, distributors and consumers to implement movable barrier systems with much more versatility and efficiency.
