Abstract:
A digital imaging device that utilizes a disk drive and a magnetic storage medium for transferring digital images. The device enables the user to transfer digital images from a flash card to a removable magnetic storage medium having high capacity. The device can also be used to view, edit or organize the digital images on a television, computer monitor or the like.

Abstract:
An electronic still-video camera is provided capable of preserving image data having a quantity which is greater than the storage capacity of a memory cartridge (memory card) loaded in the camera. Besides being capable of receiving an external memory in a memory cartridge loaded in the camera, the camera incorporates an internal memory. Image data obtained as a result of photography is stored in either the internal memory or the external memory, depending upon which memory has been selected by a memory selection switch.
Abstract:
A still video camera includes an image pickup device with a non-volatile memory incorporated in the camera, wherein an image taken by the image pickup device can be recorded or an image recorded in the non-volatile memory can be erased. An external memory, which is detachably attached by a connector portion to the camera, may also be used to store images taken by the image pickup device. The still video camera includes a connection detecting device which detects the connection between the connector portion and the external memory. A recording device records image signals representative of the image taken by the image pickup device in the non-volatile memory or the external memory. The recording device records the image signals in the external memory when the connection between the connector portion and the external memory is detected by the connection detecting device.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an electronic still camera for imaging a desired object through an imaging device, and provides a continuous-shot means with large-capacity recording. When image data RAW retrieved through predetermined imaging means is data processed to record the image on a recording medium, a high buffer memory with high speed is provided which stores image data RAW temporarily.

Abstract:
Provided is an information processing apparatus communicable with a storage control device that causes a storage medium to store data. The information processing apparatus includes: a reading unit configured to read the data from the storage medium; a receiving unit configured to receive a completion notification from the storage control device in a case where the storage control device causes the storage medium to store the data; and a control unit configured to control the reading unit to change a state in which reading by the reading unit is limited into a state in which limitation of the reading is released, in a case where the receiving unit receives the completion notification. The reading unit reads the data from the storage medium under a condition where the control unit releases the limitation.
Abstract:
A disclosed managing apparatus and image forming apparatus management system ensure confidentiality of information in an image forming apparatus while usability is maintained. An image forming apparatus acquires IC card identifying information with an IC card reader. A management server acquires a user ID associated with the acquired IC card identifying information and use limit information concerning use of the image forming apparatus. A process is performed in the image forming apparatus in accordance with the use limit information.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment of the invention, a camera determines whether to acquire an image (e.g., automatically), determines whether to store the acquired image, and determines how to store the acquired image.
Abstract:
An image forming apparatus includes an image reading portion, an image processing portion, a storage portion, a storage selector portion, an image forming portion, and a control portion. The storage portion includes a first storage portion and a second storage portion with greater vibration resistance than the first storage portion, and stores image data scanned by the image reading portion and processed by the image processing portion. The storage selector portion selects one of the first storage portion and the second storage portion based on the strength of mechanical vibrations during an operation of the apparatus, and a data size of the image data. The control portion causes the image data to be stored in the storage portion selected by the storage selector portion, and controls the image forming portion to read the stored image data and form an image.
