Abstract: Provided is a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery including a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a nonaqueous electrolyte, wherein the positive electrode has a positive active material containing a lithium transition metal composite oxide having an α-NaFeO2-type crystal structure and represented by the composition formula: Li1+αMe1−αO2 (wherein Me is a transition metal element including Co, Ni and Mn; and α>0), and the negative electrode has a negative active material which contains a carbon material that is a mixture of graphite and amorphous carbon and in which the ratio of the amorphous carbon contained in the carbon material is 5 to 60% by mass.

Abstract: An electric energy management system includes: an energy storage device; a generator connected to the energy storage device; a load which is connected to the energy storage device and to the generator and is operated with a supply of an electric energy from the energy storage device and the generator; an electric energy control part configured to control the supply of electric energy to the load from the generator; a detection part configured to detect an abnormal state of the energy storage device; a current cutoff part configured to cut off an electric current between the energy storage device and the load; and a control part configured to issue an advance notice to cut off the electric current to the electric energy control part after the abnormal state is detected by the detection part and before the electric current is cut off by the current cutoff part. The electric energy control part is configured to control the supply of electric energy to the load from the generator based on the advance notice.

Abstract: A lead-acid battery includes an electrode plate assembly, a battery case, a positive electrode strap, a negative electrode strap, a positive electrode post, a negative electrode post, a cover, and an electrolyte solution. A rib is provided in a lower part of the negative electrode bushing, and a minimum value of a protrusion height of the rib is 1.5 mm or more and 4.0 mm or less. The ratio of the maximal peak intensity present in a range of 2θ=31°-33° to the maximal peak intensity present in a range of 2θ=41°-44° is 0.1 or less (including 0), as measured by X-ray diffraction in which a Cu-Kα ray is set as an X-ray source.
