Abstract: A method of processing broadcast data in a broadcast transmitting system includes Reed-Solomon (RS) encoding and cyclic redundancy check (CRC) encoding enhanced data bytes; converting the RS-CRC encoded enhanced data bytes into enhanced data bits; encoding each of the converted enhanced data bits with one of a first coding rate and a second coding rate, thereby outputting data symbols; first interleaving the data symbols; converting the first interleaved data symbols into data bytes; forming a first data group including enhanced data corresponding to the converted data bytes; deinterleaving data of the first data group; outputting enhanced data packets including the deinterleaved data of the first data group; multiplexing the enhanced data packets with main data packets including main data; second interleaving data of the multiplexed data packets; and trellis encoding the second interleaved data.

Abstract: A broadcasting signal receiver and a method for transmitting/receiving a broadcasting signal are disclosed. An identifier of a cell is configured in second program table information or signaling information of the broadcasting signal. If the cell is changed, channel information of the changed cell can be obtained from second program table information in which transmission channel information of each cell for a broadcasting program is configured. Abstract: A digital broadcasting system and a method of processing data are disclosed. Herein, additional encoding is performed on mobile service data, which are then transmitted, thereby providing robustness in the processed mobile service data, so that the mobile service data can respond more strongly against fast and frequent channel changes. In a transmitting system including a service multiplexer and a transmitter located in a remote site, a method of processing data of the transmitting system includes comparing an output data rate of the service multiplexer and a transmission data rate of the transmitter, when a difference occurs between the two data rates, adjusting a burst size, wherein the burst transmits mobile service data, and encoding the mobile service data, and referring to the burst size so as to multiplex main service data and the encoded mobile service data in a burst structure.

Abstract: A digital broadcasting system and a method of processing data are disclosed. A receiving system of the digital broadcasting system may include a signal receiving unit, a demodulating unit, a demultiplexer, and an audio/video decoder. The signal receiving unit receives a broadcast signal including main service data and an RS frame including a plurality of MPH service data packets. The demodulating unit demodulates data of the RS frame. The demultiplexer identifies an MPH service data packet including an IP datagram of mobile service data with reference to an MPH header of each MPH service data packet in the RS frame, and when a stuffing data is inserted in the identified payload of MPH service data packet, removes the stuffing data from the payload and separates an audio and video data from IP datagram of the mobile service data of the payload, and outputs the separated audio and video data.

Abstract: A digital broadcasting system and a data processing method are disclosed. A receiver receives a broadcast signal including mobile service data and main service data. A known data detector detects known data from the broadcast signal. An equalizer performs channel equalization on the mobile service data received by means of the detected known data. An RS frame decoder acquires an RS frame from the channel-equalized mobile service data. A management processor extracts a Generic Stream Encapsulation (GSE) packet from a GSE Base Band (BB) constructing one row of the RS frame, and calculates an IP datagram from the extracted GSE packet. A presentation processor displays broadcast data using data contained in the calculated IP datagram.

Abstract: A digital broadcasting system and a data processing method are disclosed. The data processing method includes receiving a broadcast signal in which main service data and mobile service data are multiplexed, demodulating the broadcast signal to acquire fast-information-channel signaling information including reference time information for a system clock, and outputting demodulation time information of a specific position of a frame of the broadcast signal, decoding the fast-information-channel signaling information, and establishing the reference time information as the system clock at a demodulation time according to on the outputted demodulation time information and decoding the mobile service data according to the system clock.
