Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing a fire-extinguishing member, including steps of: preparing an adherend that has a surface to be treated; and forming a fire-extinguishing-agent-containing layer on the surface to be treated by a wet coating method to obtain a fire-extinguishing member that includes the adherend and the fire-extinguishing-agent-containing layer provided on the surface to be treated, wherein the fire-extinguishing-agent-containing layer contains a binder resin and a fire-extinguishing agent component that is combusted to generate an aerosol.
