Abstract: A split case adapted to hold water filtration units in a water filtration subassembly. The interior of the case holds three water filtration units arranged in series. The filtration units are in fluid communication with each other through fluid connectors. The assembly includes a water input member and a water output member, each generally positioned at opposing ends of the split case, each partially exposed to the space outside the case through apertures in the walls of the split case, and each providing fluid communication between the outside world and the water filtration subassembly.

Abstract: With prior-art biofilm treatment methods involving the use of microorganism carriers, the microorganism carrier filter beds get blocked as the biofilms grow, highly concentrated organic wastewaters, oily/fatty wastewaters, etc. cannot be stably treated, the appreciable costs incurred in dehydrating, drying, and incinerating the reduced-volume sludge of the generated excess sludge, treating the incineration ash, etc., are further increased, compounding the financial considerations relating to various spheres of operation. A wastewater treatment carrier comprises a core portion and a microorganism holding portion, wherein the microorganism holding portion is formed with multi-threads characterizing in that the fibers of the multi-threads are formed in a relaxed state so that the fibers can be spaced apart from each other in the wastewater with forming in multiple stages and a loop. The invention can also be adapted to high-concentration organic wastewater and/or inflowing raw water having high load variability. The invention is also suitable for improving existing aerobic treatment tanks, and allows excess sludge and/or odor generation to be minimized. Moreover, the invention can be stably preserved for extended periods of time with a simple maintenance operation, and can yield stable treatment water quality.

Abstract: Disclosed is a water treatment apparatus using reverse osmosis including: a PV module including a plurality of reverse osmosis modules arranged at multiple stages and connected to one another such that concentrate of one stage is fed to the following stage; a raw water supply pump feeding raw water to the PV module; a circulation pipe returning product water processed by several reverse osmosis modules disposed at rear stages of the PV module, to be mixed with the raw water; and a product water discharge pipe discharging product water processed by the remaining reverse osmosis modules disposed at front stages of the PV module, out of the PV module. The water treatment apparatus can reduce the TDS concentrations of product water and raw water while minimizing the volume loss of product water by returning a portion of the product water processed by the PV module to be circulated.

Abstract: An intermodal container having a roof, a floor, side walls and end walls is converted for use as a tank for processing water with the roof, floor, side walls and first end wall forming a roof, floor, side walls and one end wall of a tank. The tank has an opposing end wall fixed to the container side walls, all of the tank walls being reinforced to enable the tank to hold water. A flexible liner tub for containing water to be processed is supported by the floor and mounted against the tank walls and has a margin at a top edge. A liner cap mounted to the roof has a margin at its edge with the liner tub and the liner cap overlapping and sealed to one another at their margins.

Abstract: Parallel processing reverse osmosis water filtration systems using multiple RO (reverse osmosis) filter systems having their raw water input connections coupled together, their product water output connections coupled together and their drain connections coupled together. Using appropriate valving, any one or more reverse osmosis filter systems may be decoupled from the rest of the system for servicing without shutting down the entire system, and one or more additional reverse osmosis filter systems may be added to increase the product water output capacity when needed. Optional features disclosed include enhanced product water storage capacity, control of the total dissolved solids in the product water dispensed, and protection against leaks that may disable one RO filter system, but not the entire parallel processing reverse osmosis water filtration systems. Various embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Processes and systems suitable for purifying or otherwise treating liquids to remove contaminants therein, including but not limited to contaminated water, to permit reclaiming, recycling, and reuse of the liquids. Such a process and system entails the use of a cascading distillation system that evaporates a liquid from the feedstock and then condenses and collects a more purified form of the liquid. The cascading distillation system can be operated to selectively process the feedstock through any of a series of vessels at which different amounts and/or contaminants may be removed from the feedstock.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a method for reducing the amount of polluting and/or valuable elements through application of electrolysis, in particular of the electrocapturing phenomenon. The electrolysis according to the present invention is applied permanently over time in a polluted water body. The predetermined action area (115bis, 115ter) preferably has a smaller extension than the water body. The at least one phenomenon (125bis, 125ter) is preferably powered electrically through production of electrical energy in loco through at least one renewable energy source (140). The method is suitable for purifying large expanses of water, like seas, lakes, lagoons and rivers, through plants operating permanently, however this does not rule out other applications.
