Abstract: A system and method may include receiving information for a number of user equipment (UE) devices, wherein the information identifies a category associated with network access priority for each of the UE devices. The system and method may also include receiving, on behalf of a first one of the UE devices, a message to establish a network connection corresponding to a request for prioritized network access and determining whether a category for the first UE device allows for prioritized network access. The system and method may further include allowing prioritized network access to the first UE device, in response to determining that the category for the first UE device allows for prioritized network access and denying prioritized network access to the first UE device in response to determining that the category for the first UE device does not allow for prioritized network access.

Abstract: A device may receive network congestion information relating to one or more connections. The network congestion information may identify respective utilizations of the one or more connections. The one or more connections may be associated with one or more access points. The device may cause the network congestion information to be provided to a set of user equipments (UEs) via a multicast transmission to cause one or more UEs, of the set of UEs, to switch from a first connection, of the one or more connections, to a second connection, of the one or more connections, based on the network congestion information. The one or more UEs may be connected to a network via a multicast connection.

Abstract: A method for determining a Quality of Service (QoS) policy can be based on requested bandwidth. The method may initially receive a connection request which includes a requested bandwidth that corresponds to an application. The method may then determine a policy for an application data flow associated with the application based on the connection request. A bandwidth designation, which is based on the requested bandwidth, may be assigned to the application data flow based on the determined policy. Finally, the policy and the bandwidth designation may be provided so that a bearer can be assigned.

Abstract: A base station may establish a radio resource control (RRC) connection with a first user device. The base station may determine a bearer attribute of a bearer associated with the RRC connection and the first user device. The base station may determine that the bearer attribute satisfies a set of conditions, and may analyze multiple bearer attributes associated with multiple established RRC connections. The base station may select a terminable RRC connection, of the multiple established RRC connections, based on analyzing the multiple bearer attributes. The terminable RRC connection may be associated with a second user device that is different from the first user device, and the terminable RRC connection may be different from the RRC connection. The device may terminate the terminable RRC connection based on selecting the terminable RRC connection.

The user device may receive the broadcasted content; present the broadcasted content; output an indication that the broadcasted content is being presented; receive the personalized content that was generated based on the outputted indication; and present the personalized content in conjunction with the broadcasted content. The user device may further receive content that has been personalized for other user devices, and a network layer of the user device may discard the content personalized for other user devices before an application layer of the user device receives the content personalized for the user device.

Abstract: A method may include receiving, at a serving call session control function (S-CSCF) device, from a home subscriber server (HSS), a subscriber profile that includes a first subscription state associated with a user device. The first subscription state is one of a plurality of subscription states in addition to barred and not barred. The method includes routing messages to at least one of a plurality of application server devices based on at least one initial filter criteria (iFC) associated with the first subscription state. The method also includes receiving, at the S-CSCF device and from the HSS, a subscription state change to a second subscription state from the HSS, wherein the second subscription state is one of the plurality of subscription states. The method further includes identifying at least one iFC associated with the second subscription state, and routing messages to at least one of the plurality of application servers based on the at least one iFC associated with the second subscription state.
