Abstract:
An object is to stick an artificial fingerprint liquid on a test sample in a constant condition. An artificial fingerprint stamping apparatus 1 operates such that as an arm 10 lowers, the self weight of a stamp unit 3 causes an artificial fingerprint transfer member 9 at the lower end of a stamp pin 6 attached to the arm 10 via a ball bush 11 to be pressed against an artificial fingerprint liquid transfer disk D1 for a predefined period of time, and thus an artificial fingerprint liquid is transferred onto the lower end surface of the artificial fingerprint transfer member 9. Then, after the artificial fingerprint transfer member 9 is positioned above a test disc D1, the arm 10 is lowered so that the self weight of the stamp unit 3 causes the artificial fingerprint transfer member 9 to be pressed against the test disc D1 for a predefined period of time.
Abstract:
There is provided a mold component which makes it possible to mold a substrate for an optical recording medium which enables a functional layer having a uniform thickness to be formed thereon without using a resin-coating assisting member. A stamper holder holds a stamper thereon, and has a generally hollow cylindrical shape. An insertion hole formed through a central portion of the stamper has a diameter which is larger than an outer diameter of a cavity-side end of the stamper holder at a higher temperature of the holder than a normal temperature, and is slightly smaller than the outer diameter at the normal temperature of the holder. The cavity-side end inserted into the insertion hole at the higher temperature of the stamper is grasped by a rim of the insertion hole which is reduced in diameter at the normal temperature of the stamper.
Abstract:
An applied film forming apparatus that forms an applied film on one surface of a substrate includes a dripping unit that drips an energy beam-curing applied material onto the one surface of the substrate, a rotating unit that rotates the substrate, a curing processing unit that emits an energy beam onto the applied material to cure the applied material, an emission regulating unit that regulates emission of the energy beam onto the applied material on an outer circumferential edge part of the one surface of the substrate, and a control unit. After controlling the dripping unit to drip the applied material onto the one surface and controlling the rotating unit to rotate the substrate and spread the applied material, the control unit controls the rotating unit to rotate the substrate at a predetermined rotational velocity, controls the curing processing unit to emit the energy beam toward the one surface, and additionally controls the emission regulating unit to regulate the emission of the energy beam onto the applied material on the outer circumferential edge part of the one surface of the substrate.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a multiplayer optical recording medium by depositing two recording layers, with a spacer layer sandwiched therebetween, on a substrate. The method includes using a rubber chuck which can undergo elastic deformation at least in radial directions to close a central mounting hole of the substrate to thereby fix the substrate having the recording layer formed thereon on a turntable. After a coating liquid for forming the spacer layer is dropped in the vicinity of a boundary portion between a peripheral surface of the rubber chuck and the substrate, the rubber chuck is caused to chuck a stamper for forming the first recording layer thereon while allowing the stamper to be placed over the substrate. Thereafter, the turntable is rotated to spin-coat the coating liquid. This makes it possible to form a spacer layer having a uniform layer thickness while preventing intrusion of air bubbles, without leading to high manufacturing costs.
Abstract:
A process for preparing a tape guide cylinder is disclosed, which includes the steps of deep-drawing a sheet metal material progressively to form an elongated cylinder with a bottom, subjecting the resulting cylinder to flange-machining to form a flange at its open end, thereafter removing the bottom of the cylinder, subsequently trimming the flange from the cylinder, and finally subjecting the resulting cylinder at either of its ends to a beat-machining for finishing the shape of the elongated cylinder. The tape guide cylinder thus prepared may further be subjected at its circumference, to a precision finish for providing an outer diameter of less than 6 mm but more than 5.2 mm.

An optical recording disk wherein information is written and reproduced through the application of recording and reading laser beams is assembled by preparing a pair of circular substrates which each are provided with a plurality of studs or spikes on outer and/or inner circumferential band, forming a recording layer of dye on each substrate, and joining the substrates together through the studs by ultrasonic sealing or adhesive bonding such that the recording layers face one another via an interior space.

An information medium substrate is formed as a flat plate and includes a first convex part formed on one surface of the information medium substrate in a region between a rim part of a center hole and an inner circumferential edge of an information region and a second convex part formed on another surface of the information medium substrate at a position that overlaps a protruding end part of the first convex part in a thickness direction of the information medium substrate.

An optical recording medium including a light transmitting layer having a uniform thickness formed on a substrate, in which a burr or stripping hardly occurs at the inner periphery of the light transmitting layer, and a manufacturing method and a manufacturing device of the optical recording medium are provided. An optical recording medium 10 is manufactured by a manufacturing method including: molding a disc-like shaped substrate 12 including an information recording face 12A on one side; forming a light transmitting layer 14 thinner than the substrate 12 on the information recording face 12A; forming a circular cut 16 in the light transmitting layer 14; and punching out an area inside the cut 16 by a punching tool 18 to form a center hole 14A in the light transmitting layer 14 and a center hole 20 in the substrate 12.
Abstract:
An intermediate for an optical recording medium, according to the present invention, is an intermediate produced beforehand for manufacturing an optical recording medium that has a central mounting hole formed in a central portion thereof and one or more kinds of functional layers formed on a surface thereof, for enabling at least one of information recording and information reproduction. The intermediate has a provisional central hole, which is smaller in diameter than the central mounting hole, formed in a central portion thereof. This makes it possible to drop resin in the vicinity of the center of the intermediate without using a disk-shaped member, in performing spin coating on the intermediate, whereby it is possible to make the layer of applied resin substantially uniform in thickness.
