A shaped metallic component is formed by friction stirring at least a segment of a single piece of bulk metal to impart superplasticity thereto and thereby yield a single superplastic metal blank from the single piece of bulk metal. The metal blank is then deformed by a metal deformation process such as forging, rolling, drawing, bending, extruding, gas forming, punching, and stamping.
Abstract:
This invention will be used to determine how ready a user is to begin migrating their workload to a Cloud. Each client will provide some general information about the workload they wish to migrate. Based on the user's responses, a data visualization—in the form of a meter—will be formulated to determine the user's readiness score. Additionally, this tool will help the user better understand their unique challenges or issues that must be resolved before migration can occur. A cloud readiness report is generated at the end of this process, which will tell the user the specific issues that may hinder their migration process. With the help of invention, users can cut down their time and cost for checking their cloud readiness status. This tool will assist clients to identify any issues that would interfere with their migration to a cloud.

A system and method for guiding consumers through category-based transactions leads consumers through the creation of registries or shopping lists by displaying a group of items in a series of categories, and selecting one or more of the items within the categories. A user's progress in creating the registry may be displayed in a persistent menu bar that remains displayed on an interface as the user advances from one category to another. The systems and methods may be utilized by one or more users to create an electronic baby registry or wedding registry, to prepare for any event, or to enhance any category-based shopping experience at an online marketplace.

A mounting structure for one or more pantographs is provided. The mounting structure comprises a bottom support structure, a mid support structure, and a top platform. The bottom support structure includes a pair of primary front legs. The mid support structure includes a pair of secondary front legs coupled to the pair of primary front legs. The mid support structure further includes a pair of angled rear legs rigidly connected to the pair of secondary front legs by a deck. The pair of secondary front legs extends above the deck. The mid support structure further includes a first and second pair of front and side extended support arms rigidly connected to a top portion of the pair of secondary front legs. The top platform is coupled to the mid support structure and is configured to mount the one or more pantographs.

Highly elastomeric, curable, paintable silicone compositions are provided. The paintable silicone compositions comprise an organopolysiloxane, a silicone functional crosslinker, and an organic polymer. The highly elastomeric, curable, paintable silicone compositions have an elongation of at least 150% and are useful as paintable sealants and caulks.

A method for forming a miniaturized shaped component. Bulk superplastic material is contacted with a flat rotating surface of a rotating tool to frictionally heat the bulk superplastic material with the bulk superplastic material positioned between the flat rotating surface of the tool and a microfabricated tool die. The bulk superplastic material is forced into the microfabricated die once the bulk superplastic material is heated to a temperature between a glass transition temperature and a crystallization temperature.
Abstract:
A dynamic data exchange (DDE) server which allows external programs to access power management data is presented. The DDE server provides a mnemonic cross reference between register items and standardized, alphanumeric parameter names. This mnemonic interface allows the user to retrieve data from a device without knowledge of the actual device register item number. Also, the DDE server automatically performs time synchronizing for all supported devices and provides a consistent waveform and event interface. The DDE server is optimized for either the Modbus RTU or Ethernet protocol. The DDE server includes toolkit functions which are used to maintain DDE communication and protocol timers and to maintain active topic and item lists. The DDE server acts as a link between a client requesting device data and a field device which can provide the data. The DDE server communicates to the field device through communication ports and to the client via DDE message link. A client sends its requests to server to read/write some device registers. The server maps each request to suitable device read/write request packets and carries out the necessary transaction with device. Then it relays the result back to the client after processing and casting the collected device data to proper format.
