Abstract: The present invention is directed to novel nucleotide sequences of Senecavirus A (“SVA”), including novel genotypes thereof, which are useful as live attenuated and other vaccine compositions for treating and preventing diseases in swine and other animals. Vaccines provided according to the practice of the invention are effective against multiple swine SVA genotypes and isolates. Diagnostic and therapeutic sequences are also a feature of the present invention, as are infectious clones useful in the propagation of the virus and in the preparation of vaccines. Particularly important aspects of the invention include polynucleotide constructs that replicate in tissue culture and in host swine. The invention also provides for novel full length SVA genomes that can replicate efficiently in host animals and tissue culture.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a conductive coating composition that includes a functionalized carbon nanomaterial and/or boron nanomaterial and a fluid component. The nanomaterial and fluid component forms hydrogen bond network in the disclosed composition. Because of the formed hydrogen bonds, the disclosed coating exhibits enhanced thermal or electrical conductivity. Also disclosed is a method to improve thermal or electrical conductivity of an existing coating composition.

Abstract: Cold spray devices and systems are disclosed. They include a flowpath having an inlet adapted for receiving communication with two or more inputs and an outlet adapted to discharge the two or more inputs. A discharge nozzle may be included in the flowpath of the outlet and a confluence may be included in the flowpath at the inlet for combining the two or more inputs. A nozzle body houses the discharge nozzle separate and downstream from the confluence of the two inputs.

Abstract: An impact test apparatus can be used to determine particle interfacial energies with varying relative air humidity. It was observed that capillary condensation increased the adhesive forces of hydrophilic materials. A systems humidity separation window was identified and the differences in interfacial energy for a hydrophilic surface and for a hydrophobic surface can be exploited in order to achieve the separation of particles. Separation and concentration of particles, particularly particles within a mineral ore body, can be obtained.

Abstract: A safe, simple, and selective method and reagent for deoxyfluorination is disclosed. With the method and reagent disclosed herein, organic compounds such as carboxylic acids, carboxylates, carboxylic acid anhydrides, aldehydes, and alcohols can be fluorinated by using the most common nucleophilic fluorinating reagents and electron deficient fluoroarenes as mediators under mild conditions, giving corresponding fluoroorganic compounds in excellent yield with a wide range of functional group compatibility and easy product purification. For example, directly utilizing KF for deoxyfluorination of carboxylic acids provides the most economical and the safest pathway to access acyl fluorides, key intermediates for syntheses of peptide, amide, ester, and dry fluoride salts.

Abstract: A method to assemble a highly stretchable and highly sensitive strain sensor. Carbon nanofibers prepared by electrospinning of PAN followed by stabilization and carbonization, are sandwiched in two layers of elastomer PU. The CNFs/PU strain sensor shows large strain range of 300%, high sensitivity with gauge factor up to 72.5, and superior stability and durability during 8000 cycles of stretch/release. The CNFs/PU strain sensor shows fast, stable and reproducible responses following the bending movement of fingers, wrists, and elbows. The flexible CNFs/PU strain sensor with has broad applications in wearable devices for human motion monitoring.
