Abstract: A taped chaining thread sewing device is designed to sew by operation of an overedge sewing machine a tape into the upper surface of the fabric sent into the needle location of the sewing machine, and also sew the chaining thread cut off from the preceding fabric into the lower surface of the fabric. The tape is cut off together with the unnecessary edge portion of the fabric by a cutter at the start of sewing of the leading end from the sewing part on the fabric. Before the final end of the fabric passes the cutter, a tape guide of the taped chaining thread sewing device moves, and therefore the unsewn portion of the tape is cut off together with the unnecessary edge portion of the fabric from the sewn part by the cutter. By the chaining thread sewn into the beginning part of sewing of the fabric, it is not necessary to perform any particular bar tacking job at the beginning of sewing in a separate process. By properly setting the timing by which movement of a holding part of a chaining thread processing device is effected in the direction crossing the fabric, the length of the chaining thread to be sewn in may be set to a specific length.

Abstract: In a wiring substrate, a double data rate (DDR) memory and a memory controller controlling the DDR memory are mounted. Further, in the wiring substrate, plural equal-length wires connecting the DDR memory and the memory controller are formed. The plural equal-length wires include a differential transmission line, such as a clock wire transmitting a clock signal, which is connected via a common mode choke coil. The differential transmission line may have a wire length shorter than a wire length of another equal-length wire, by a wire length corresponding to delay time of a transmission signal due to the common mode choke coil.

Abstract: The present invention provides a charged particle beam device in which signal electrons (14) are generated from a sample when the sample (11) is irradiated with a primary charged particle beam (3), and then enter different positions of a position-sensitive signal detector (16) in accordance with energy of the signal electrons (14), whereby an energy distribution image of the signal electrons generated from the sample is acquired. Accordingly, it becomes possible to discriminate and select signal electrons having arbitrary energy to thereby obtain an image to which information specific to the arbitrary energy is reflected, and to acquire various characteristic information of the sample.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods to take advantage of the exhaust gas pulses in an exhaust system of a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine to increase the volumetric efficiency over the complete operating range of the engine. It solves the problems of other systems which are only able to gain a beneficial effect from the exhaust gas pulses over a limited range of the engine operating speeds, by providing a means of varying the exhaust pipe lengths, combinations, and cross-sectional area of the exhaust passages of the multi-cylinder internal combustion engine. By this means it provides an exhaust system in which the exhaust gas pulse frequencies can be varied over the entire operating range of the engine to obtain desirable pulse frequencies matching the cylinder exhaust timing for efficient extraction of the exhaust gases, improvement in volumetric efficiency and a higher maximum engine speed. The various methods can be controlled by sensors connected to any or all of the engine rpm sensor, the gear change mechanism and the throttle valve. The methods are suitable for any type of multi-cylinder internal combustion engine, that is, in-line cylinders, horizontal opposed cylinders, V cylinder arrangement etc. and for any type of application whether stationary or on a moving vehicle. The methods solve the problem of other methods related to positioning on a motor cycle by being able to have the exhaust pipe combination change valve located between the engine cylinder exhaust outlet and later junctions of the exhaust pipes. Also the layout of the system is such that the components can be simply protected from damage and easily accessed for maintenance.
