Abstract:
The present invention discloses a front suction/discharge type outdoor unit for an air conditioner including: an outdoor unit casing being formed in a rectangular parallelepiped shape, having its one surface externally opened and its other surfaces closed, and being divided into a suction unit and a discharge unit; a compressor installed in the outdoor unit casing, for compressing a refrigerant gas supplied from an indoor unit through pipe lines; an air-cooled condenser positioned in the outdoor unit casing, for condensing the refrigerant gas from the compressor; and a sirocco cooling fan installed in the outdoor unit casing, for forming a diffuser opposite side part of a curvature unit of a housing as a plane unit, forming the fan housing to separate a diffuser opposite side member from a diffuser side member, supplying external air to the air-cooled condenser, and discharging heat exchanged air. A discharge direction of air from the sirocco cooling fan becomes more distant from the most adjacent outdoor unit.
Abstract:

The built-in type compressor/condenser unit includes a louver frame installed on a rectangular shaped space formed on an outer wall of a building. The louver frame is divided into a suction area and a discharge area, each with a plurality of louver blades. The compressor/condenser unit casing is positioned proximate the louver frame, with the surface of the casing which faces the suction area and the discharge area of the louver frame open, and the remaining surfaces of the casing closed. A compressor, an air-cooled condenser, and a cooling fan are installed in the compressor/condenser unit casing.
Abstract:
An air conditioner comprises: a first compression unit (C1) and a second compression unit (C2) for respecitvely compressing a refrigerant; an outdoor heat exchanger (200) provided at an outdoor unit and connected via the second control valve (400) to the first compression unit (C1) and the second compression unit (C2); and indoor heat exchanger (100) provided at an indoor unit is connected via the second control valve (400) to the first compression unit (C1) and the second compression unit (C2) and via the expansion valve (700) to the outdoor heat exchanger; and a first control valve (500) for controlling a refrigerant flow by selectively connecting the first compression unit (C1) and the second compression unit (C2) in series or in parallel. As the first compression unit (C1) and the second compression unit (C2) are selevtively connected to each other in series or in paralell, a capacity of the air conditioner is varied according to a change of an indoor temperature and fabrication cost is minimized.
Abstract:
A dual capacity compressor, which can maintain a fixed eccentricity and stable operation, even when the compressor is rotated in both the regular and reverse directions in order to provide multiple compression capacities, is provided. This dual capacity compressor implements an improved key member and associated key member fitting parts to inhibit relative motion of the crank pin and the eccentric sleeve during operation, so as to reduce or eliminate a destabilizing effect due to centrifugal forces on the eccentric sleeve and external forces applied through the connecting rod.
Abstract:
A built-in type compressor/condenser unit for an air conditioner is provided which prevents re-suction of discharged air. The built-in type compressor/condenser unit includes a louver frame which is installed on an inner portion of an outer wall of a building, and which divided into a suction area and a discharge area each having a plurality of louver blades. A compressor/condenser casing is installed in contact with the louver frame, having its surface facing the suction area and the discharge area of the louver frame opened and the other surfaces closed. The compressor/condenser unit is divided into a suction unit and a discharge unit corresponding to the suction area and the discharge area of the louver frame. The louver frame includes an isolating means for isolating air between the suction area and the discharge area so as to prevent air discharged from the discharge unit thought the discharge area from being re-ingested into the suction unit through the suction area of the louver frame.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a front suction/discharge type outdoor unit for an air conditioner to provide an economical installation structure for efficiently installing a large capacity outdoor unit and provide services for easily transferring the outdoor unit, and examining, exchanging and repairing its components, by separating a suction casing and a discharge casing. The front suction/discharge type outdoor unit includes an outdoor unit suction casing having its one surface externally opened, and sucking external air for heat exchange, and an outdoor unit discharge casing being separated from or coupled to the outdoor unit suction casing, sucking external air through the outdoor unit suction casing, having its one surface externally opened, and discharging heat exchanged external air. Here, opened surfaces are respectively formed in the outdoor unit suction casing and the outdoor unit discharge casing to connect them to discharge the sucked external air.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for controlling louver blades of a compressor/condenser unit are provided which can improve efficiency of the compressor/condenser unit based on a position of the louver blades and peripheral conditions. The apparatus includes louver blades with a pair of connecting protrusions formed at each end thereof, and a plurality of levers which are rotatably coupled to the connecting protrusions of the louver blades formed in the same positions. A driving member opens and closes the louver blades by moving the levers, and in turn, the louver blades coupled there to. A microcomputer controls the driving member, and the louver blades are opened and closed based on a control signal from the microcomputer.
Abstract:
A multi-stage rotary compressor comprises: a casing having a sealed space therein; a driving unit installed in the casing, for generating a driving force; a first compression unit and a second compression unit for receiving the driving force from the driving unit and compressing a refrigerant; and a connection unit for connecting the first and second compression units and guiding the refrigerant discharged from the second compression unit to be sucked directly in the first compression unit and then re-compressed, by which it is possible to vary capacity, even using every plurality of compression units, and to obtain power saving effect suitable for a saving mode.
