A digital camera includes a CCD imager having an interline transfer scheme. A first charge produced due to first exposure is read from light receiving elements positioned vertically intermittently. A second charge produced due to second exposure is also read from the same light receiving elements to vertical transfer regions. Here, the first charge is vertically moved simultaneously with or prior to reading out the second charge. The moving distance, at this time, is equal to or greater than a distance that the light receiving elements continue in the vertical direction. As a result of this, the second charge will not be mixed with the first charge. The first and second charges are subjected to a compositing process to display a composite image on an LCD.

A video camera includes a solid-state image sensing device, and an electric signal from the image sensing device is converted by a camera circuit into a video signal which is further converted into a digital video signal by an A/D converter. The digital video signal is stored in a field memory sequentially field by field under control of a memory control circuit. A motion detecting circuit which receives the digital video signal calculates correlative values for each of a plurality of blocks constituting a whole screen according to a representative point matching method. A microcomputer calculates motion vectors of respective blocks on the basis of correlative value data from the motion detecting circuit and an average motion vector thereof, and calculates "increase", "passing degree" and "variation". The microcomputer further evaluates a reliability of each of the blocks according to a fuzzy inference by utilizing the increase, passing degree and variation as parameters. The memory control circuit determines correction amount for a picture stabilization on the basis of the reliability and the average motion vector.

A closed loop mixture control system for internal combustion engines is responsive to a signal derived from an exhaust gas sensor. The sensor signal is time-integrated in a direction depending on the level of the gas sensor output to derive a first mixture corrective setting of the control system. Second corrective settings or learning data are established for the control system in correspondence with the amount of air supplied to the engine. Each of the latter settings is varied as a function of time in a direction depending on the value of the time-varying first corrective setting relative to a reference so that the second settings are automatically updated to meet varying engine performance such as aging. One of the second corrective settings is selected in response to the detected quantity of the supplied air and multiplied by the first corrective setting to correct the basic mixture control setting of the system toward an optimum value. All of the second corrective settings are reset to appropriate values, for example, "1" at the instant the engine is started if an average value of the second settings is greater than a predetermined value to compensate for different fuel vaporizations.
