Abstract:
A lifting device lifts and lowers the working unit with respect to an axis of wheels as a center and can move the wheels of the working unit aloft. The lifting device applies to a lawn mowing vehicle comprising a lawn mowing unit and a main body. The lawn mowing unit includes drum wheels that are rotatable about an axis Ax1 extending in a vehicle width direction. The main body is connected to the lawn mowing unit so as to be rotatable about the axis Ax1 and immovable in the axis Ax direction, and can travel with the lawn mowing unit. The lifting device includes a first support member at the lawn mowing unit, a second support member at the main body, and a linear actuator that includes a retractable rod having a front end portion and a main body part having a rear end portion.
Abstract:
A valve driving apparatus in an internal combustion engine having plural valve stems in a cylinder head on an upper portion of a main body of an engine which are aligned radially about the cylinder head with the intersection of their longitudinally axes substantially coinciding with a center of curvature of an upper wall surface of a combustion chamber, the valve stems being arranged to be driven by at least one cam shaft through respective subsidiary rocker arms which are in abutment with respective heads of the valve stems and respective rocker arms which are in abutment with the subsidiary rocker arms, characterized in that a shaft for each of the subsidiary rocker arms is positioned on a plane crossing a longitudinal axis of the corresponding one of the valve stems at a right angle and existing in a range of up and down stroke of the head of the valve stem.
Abstract:
A controlling device for controlling the transmission ratio of a non-stage transmission in a vehicle. The transmission ratio is controlled according to a forecast output power of the vehicle. The output power is forecast based on an operating condition of the vehicle, such as atmospheric pressure. The control considers various operating parameters. A comparison of a predetermined ratio of increase of engine speed or throttle opening with actual ratios of increase of engine speed or throttle opening may be made in controlling the transmission ratio. An uneven road surface is detected and a transmission ratio of the transmission is controlled accordingly to substantially eliminate hunting. An engine speed is controlled so that the engine speed may not exceed a predetermined rotational speed when the transmission gear ratio is fixed. A target engine speed or target transmission ratio is corrected in response to an output signal of a comparison device which compares an actual vehicle velocity with a set vehicle velocity during automatic fixed vehicle velocity running.
