    摘要： Message RNA is immobilized directly from cells onto filter material. Immobilization is carried out by solubilizing cellular components with a chaotropic salt, passing the resultant solubilized cellular components through a filter which selectively binds message RNA and baking the filter containing bound message RNA. The chaotropic salt is preferably sodium iodide, potassium iodide or sodium perchlorate. Prior to solubilizing, the cells may be washed and lysed. The bound message RNA can be hybridized to a labeled probe and the amount of message RNA measured. Prior to baking, the filter containing bound RNA may be incubated in a solution which acelylates basic protein and other molecules which might interfere with molecular hybridization.

The object position detector comprises a touch sensor formed as a closed loop and having a physical constraint formed on an upper surface of the touch sensor and coextensive with the closed loop. The touch sensor is configured to sense motion of an object proximate to the closed loop. The object position detector also comprises a processor coupled to the touch sensor and is programmed to generate an action in response to the motion on the touch sensor.

    摘要： A method for searching documents, which uses a concept based retrieval methodology, uses for any query an adaptive self-generating neural network for analyzing concepts contained in the documents being searched as such concepts occur. The method automatically creates, abstracts and populates categories of concepts for each query, and is not restricted to language, but can also be applied to non-text data, such as voice, music, image and film. The method is able to deliver search results that are relevant to the query and to the context of the query and, therefore, arranges results by concept, rather than keyword occurrence.

Film layers made from such formulated compositions have surprisingly good (for example, low) water vapor transmission rates and are particularly useful for packaging dry goods such as cereal. The polymer compositions preferably have at least one homogeneous ethylene homopolymer and at least one heterogeneously branched ethylene polymer. The homogeneous ethylene homopolymer has a molecular weight much higher than that of the heterogeneously branched ethylene polymer, although the density of each is preferably higher than about 0.95 g/cm3.
