The invention relates to a method of producing a film comprising at least one layer of a thermoplastic fluoro-polymer and at least one layer of another polymer (A). The inventive method consists in using extrusion blow molding to coextrude a fluoro-polymer and polymer (A) which adhere to one another; with a layer of another thermoplastic polymer (B) such that it forms a layer which is adjacent to the fluoropolymer/polymer (A) layer According to the invention, the thermoplastic polymer (B) is incompatible with the fluoro-polymer and polymer (A) and has adequate extrudate behavior to support the layers of fluoro-polymer and/or polymer (A). Once the coextrudate has been cooled, by separating the layer(s) of (B), at least the film is recovered, said film comprising at least one layer of a polymer selected from among thermoplastic fluoro-polymers and polymers (A).

The invention also relates to a composition comprising, by weight, 1 to 100% of the preceding polyamide and 99 to 0% of a semicrystalline polyamide. The invention also relates to the objects composed of the composition of the invention, such as panels, films, sheets, pipes, profiles or objects obtained by injection moulding. The invention also relates to objects covered with a transparent protective layer composed of the composition of the invention.

A method of manufacturing a semi-crystalline article from at least one pseudo-amorphous polymer including a poly aryl ether ketone, such as PEKK, including a softening step, wherein the at least one pseudo-amorphous polymer is heated to a temperature above its glass transition temperature to soften the polymer, and a crystallization step, wherein the at least one pseudo-amorphous polymer is heated to a temperature between its glass transition temperature and melting temperature, the pseudo-amorphous polymer being placed on a mold during either the softening step or the crystallization step before at least some crystallization takes place. The method results in articles demonstrating increased opacity, increased crystallinity, increased thermal resistance, improved chemical resistance, and improved mechanical properties over articles formed by traditional thermoforming processes.

The present invention relates to the use of films, formed from an adhesive layer and a layer (A), for coating articles made of a thermoset, the adhesive layer comprising, by weiqht: 0 to 60 parts of PVDE, 10 to 100 parts of functionalized PMMA, 0 to 50 parts of an acrylic elastomer and 0 to 4 parts of a UV absorber, the total making up 100 parts, the layer (A) comprising, as main constituents, 0 to 100 parts of PVDF per 100 to 0 parts of PMMA, respectively. The invention relates to a process for the preparation of a composition to be extruded comprising a polymer and a filler of solid particles comprising a stage of mixing the filler of solid particles with particles or granules of the said polymer, if appropriate in the form of an aqueous suspension. The invention is particularly simple, and the final material is in better mechanical properties than those obtained by direct incorporation of the solid filler in the polymer or copolymer. This improvement is very substantial, in particular with regard to the impact strength of the final material. The invention also relates to a polypropylene-based composition comprising a filler of solid particles, such as kaolin, exhibiting a high flexural modulus and a good impact strength.
