Abstract:
An oil collector for an upright smoke exhauster is provided, the oil collector includes an oil filter of predetermined mesh and attached at a lower circumference with a guide device which is prepared to introduce the oil from the filter into an oil cup at a lower portion of the exhauster. The filter is engaged into a circular vent in the housing of the smoke exhauster together with the guide device which has a tongue of an inverse isosceles triangle projected downward from an under side of a sloped portion thereof for facilitating the oil to be concentrated on the lower point of the triangle and dripped directly into the oil cup. The improvement has been characterized in the simple structure and greater efficiency in removal of the oil from the smoke exhauster.

The small end is configured for introducing gas into the tapered tube. The large end opposes to the open end. Each of the at least one tapered tube tapers from the closed end to the open end. The conical surface connects the open end to the closed end. A plurality of gas holes of a same size are defined in the conical surface and equidistantly arranged along the center axis of the tapered tube from the open end to the closed end.

An exemplary road traffic mirror includes a casing, a mirror, a monitor, a processor, and an indicating module. The mirror and the hollow casing define a chamber therein, and the mirror includes a transparent glass and a reflection film formed on the transparent glass, wherein the reflection film is a narrow band pass film. The monitor is configured to automatically monitor road conditions and generate corresponding road condition signals. The processor is configured to analyze the road condition signals, and to generate switching signals. The indicating module is received in the chamber and facing the mirror, wherein the indicating module is configured to be activated by the switching signal and emit corresponding light rays, the light rays of the indicating module passing through the reflection film and forming an indication sign on the outside of the road traffic mirror.

The present invention provides a novel promoter sequence derived from a promoter of geminivirus, a eukaryotic virus, and has the characteristics of prokaryotic promoters. The isolated sequence includes SEQ ID NO: 5, which can drive the expression of foreign genes in prokaryotic cells to a high level utilizing the prokaryotic RNA polymerases. The present invention is a constitutive promoter which does not require the addition of external inducers to promote high-level gene expressions. The promoter activity of the present invention is 15-fold higher than the Rep gene promoter of geminivirus, which is also active in prokaryotic cells. Compared to the promoter activity of the standard constitutive prokaryotic promoter rrnB P1, the activity of the present invention is 11.1% higher. The activity of the present invention is additive when concatenated in the same polarity in the constructs, further enhancing the expression level of genes.

A coating auxiliary device, for coating hollow workpieces, includes a loading tray, masking stoppers, and an ejecting plate. The loading tray includes a loading surface, a matching surface opposite to the loading surface, and engaging portions extending up from the loading surface. Each workpiece is engaged with an engaging portion. The loading device defines guiding holes. Each guiding hole passes through an engaging portion and the matching surface and is in communication with the respective workpiece. Each masking stopper is configured to be inserted into a respective workpiece to mask an interior of the respective workpiece. The ejecting plate includes an assembling surface and ejecting rods extending up from the assembling surface. Each ejecting rod is configured to be guided into a respective guiding hole from the matching surface to eject out a respective masking stopper.

Virus-like particles (VLPs) of mammalian-hosted viruses, such as SARS-CoV and influenza viruses, have been recombinantly produced from Vero cells. The VLPs closely emulate the exterior of authentic virus particles and are highly immunogenic. They can elicit not only humoral but also cellular immune responses in a mammal. Compositions and methods related to the VLPs are also described.
