    Abstract: A rotating electrical machine includes a magnetic field-producing unit, an armature with a multi-phase armature winding, and a rotor. The magnetic field-producing unit includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is located closer to a d-axis in a d-q axis coordinate system than the second position is. The second position is located closer to a q-axis in the d-q axis coordinate system than the first position is. The magnetic field-producing unit is magnetically oriented to meet a condition where an angle which an easy axis of magnetization of the first portion makes with the d-axis is smaller than an angle which an easy axis of magnetization of the second portion makes with the q-axis. The magnetic field-producing unit is configured to have an intrinsic coercive force of 400 kA/m and also have a remanent flux density of 1.0 T or more.

    Abstract: A rotating electric machine drive system includes: a rotating electric machine equipped with: a rotor having one magnetic pole configured by permanent magnets, and a salient pole portion that is magnetically convex in a radial direction; and a stator wound with a multiphase stator winding; an inverter for supplying electric power to the stator winding; and a control unit for controlling energization current of the inverters. The control unit performs energization control of the stator winding such that a fundamental wave current at a fundamental frequency synchronized with a rotational speed of the rotor, and a harmonic current that is triple the fundamental frequency flow in the stator winding, and such that energization of the harmonic current generates a stator magnetic field having a specified lead phase or delay phase with respect to a third-order magnetic field of the rotor.

    Abstract: A rotating electric machine includes a stator and a rotor. The rotor includes: a field core having at least one boss portion, a pair of disc portions and a plurality of claw-shaped magnetic pole portions; a field coil arranged between the at least one boss portion and the claw-shaped magnetic pole portions; a plurality of permanent magnets each of which is arranged between one circumferentially-adjacent pair of the claw-shaped magnetic pole portions; and a ring-shaped fixing member fixed to radially inner parts of the claw-shaped magnetic pole portions to support the claw-shaped magnetic pole portions from the radially inner side. Moreover, a d-axis magnetic circuit and a magnet magnetic circuit are at least partially coincident with each other to share a common circuit portion. When field current is supplied to the field coil, the permeance of the d-axis magnetic circuit is lower than the permeance of a q-axis magnetic circuit.

    Abstract: A rotating electric machine apparatus includes a rotating electric machine and a full-bridge inverter. The full-bridge inverter includes first high-side switches, first low-side switches, second high-side switches, and second low-side switches.     Abstract: A seal member of a driver apparatus contacts a case and a first frame end. The seal member has an opening in which a lead wire is inserted and an inside wall surface of the opening contacts the lead wire. Further, the seal member is made of a stretchable material, and is held in position only by a binding force between the case and the first frame end. The seal member is fixedly held by the first frame end and the case after an insertion of the lead wire in the opening and disposition on the fixing member opposing face. Therefore, an installation of the seal member is performed by an inserting the lead wire into the opening and a positioning the seal member on the case.

    Abstract: A housing and a rotary shaft of a motor are formed of non-magnetic material. A soft magnetic member is provided between a first axial end surface of a fixed core and a bearing. The soft magnetic member is provided on the fixed core side relative to the first bearing thereby to suppress magnetic flux leaking to a vicinity of one end part of the rotary shaft by leading the magnetic flux, which is generated from a rotor, to the rotor core through the fixed core and a casing. A magnetic angular position sensor fixed to one end part of the rotary shaft can detect a magnetic angular position of the rotor accurately without being affected by external magnetic field. As a result, noise generated by vibration of the motor can be suppressed.

    Abstract: A rotating electrical machine includes a rotor and a magnet unit. The rotating electrical machine also includes a cylindrical stator and a housing. The stator is equipped with a stator winding made up of a plurality of phase windings. The stator is arranged coaxially with the rotor and faces the rotor. The housing has the rotor and the stator disposed therein. The rotor includes a cylindrical magnet retainer to which the magnet unit is secured and an intermediate portion which connects between a rotating shaft of the rotor and the magnet retainer and extends in a radial direction of the rotating shaft.
