摘要： An oil pan for an internal combustion engine has a casing having a first oil chamber and a second oil chamber that are separated from one another. A valve connects the first and second chambers with one another in an open position of the valve. The valve is switched temperature dependent, wherein the valve is closed at a temperature below a switching temperature. An outlet opening communicates with the first oil chamber. The first oil chamber has a first oil volume and the second oil chamber has a second oil volume, wherein the first oil volume is smaller than the second oil volume. The outlet opening is positioned in an exterior wall of the first oil chamber and provides a connecting opening for connecting an oil cooler to be connected to an exterior wall of the casing.

摘要： An integrated engine compartment component for housing vehicle support system components in a vehicle engine compartment, which is divided by shared partition walls into a plurality of vehicle support system component-containing sections, each either forming or containing a component of a vehicle support system. In one embodiment, the integrated engine compartment component includes an air intake system filtration section containing a filter element, an air intake acoustic resonator section in two-way communication with an outlet of the air filtration section, and a washer fluid reservoir section feeding a windshield or headlight washer nozzle. An acoustic chamber may be integrated into the component outer surface, e.g., to use vehicle fluids stored therein to dampen noise and to provide additional fluid working volume. Integration of vehicle support system components into a single integrated component offers significant savings in under-hood engine compartment space and materials, manufacturing, installation, servicing and recycling costs.

摘要： An intake module for an internal combustion engine. The intake module including at least two intake ducts which can be opened and closed by rotatable valves. The valves are connected to one another via a coupling mechanism and to a common actuating mechanism in the form of a servomotor. In order to compensate for tolerances between the valves and the actuating mechanism, the coupling mechanism includes at least one elastic portion, formed by a weakened material portion, which allows the intake valves to be closed and opened completely. The resilience of the coupling mechanism can be brought about by a change in cross-section or a material reduction. In one embodiment of the invention, the coupling mechanism includes multi-part articulated main rods which control the valves by resiliently mounted legs. In another embodiment, the coupling mechanism includes a main rod having branch rods emerging therefrom with a resilient region extending as a relatively thin cross-section of the branch rods over their entire length.
