    摘要: Methods and systems are provided for improving surge control in a boosted engine system configured with an electric motor to provide electrical boost assistance. Tip-in and tip-out surge are addressed by increasing the opening of a compressor recirculation valve and coordinating the recirculation valve opening with adjustments to an exhaust waste-gate position and a power output by the electric motor. The adjustments enable an intake airflow to be provided that operates the compressor outside a surge region while providing a target boost pressure as operator torque demand increases or decreases.

In one example, a method may include adjusting the compressor surge line based on a vehicle speed in addition to a compressor pressure ratio. For example, at higher vehicle speeds, above a threshold vehicle speed, a less aggressive surge line calibration may be utilized in order to improve drivability while at lower vehicle speeds, below the threshold vehicle speed, a more aggressive surge line calibration may be utilized for NVH mitigation.

    摘要: Methods and systems are provided for estimating a fuel canister purge flow based on outputs of an intake manifold oxygen sensor. For example, during boosted engine operation when exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) is flowing below a threshold and purge is enabled, purge flow may be estimated based on changes in the sensor output while modulating a canister purge valve between an open and closed position. Then, during subsequent operation wherein EGR and purge flow are enabled, the output of the sensor may be adjusted based on the estimated purge flow.
