    摘要: An improved moving bed continuous catalytic cracking process for cracking hydrocarbon feedstocks, such as gas oil, in the absence of added hydrogen, which includes the use of a minute amount of dispersed platinum supported directly on a cracking catalyst. The trace of platinum induces a substantial increase in the heat efficiency with which coke on catalyst is converted to CO.sub.2 in the regenerator section with minimal or no detriment to the cracking reaction.

    摘要: Non-hydrogenative endothermic catalytic cracking of hydrocarbon, particularly petroleum, fractions at relatively low pressures and high temperatures in a system where the endothermic heat required for cracking is supplied by catalyst as the heat transfer medium, which catalyst has been heated by burning coke deposited on the catalyst during cracking; and wherein a decomposable compound of platinum, palladium, ruthenium, iridium, osmium, rhodium or rhenium, is introduced into contact with the cracking catalyst during said process.

    摘要: A surface-inactive shape selective metallosilicate catalyst, useful for the conversion of lower molecular weight olefins to liquid hydrocarbons such as gasoline, distillate, and high viscosity lube oils, is prepared by forming a silica shell on a medium pore metallosilicate core by crystallizing silica in the presence of fluoride ion onto the surface of the core.A novel catalyst composition is provided comprising an inner core portion and an outer portion disposed as a porous shell around the inner portion, wherein the inner portion consists essentially of metallosilicate zeolite having a medium pore structure, such as ZSM-5 or ZSM-23, and the outer portion comprising a fluoride-containing crystalline shell consisting essentially of silica substantially free of acid sites and having substantially the same crystalline structure as the inner core portion.

    摘要: Operation of regenerators of commercial equipment for catalytic cracking of hydrocarbon feedstock, such as gas oil, in the absence of added hydrogen is improved considerably by use of a cracking catalyst which contains a minute amount, as low as fractions of a part per million (ppm), of a metal from periods 5 and 6 of Group VIII of the Periodic Table or rhenium. These powerful dehydrogenation metals, in the amounts here used, do not have serious adverse effect on the cracking operation and reduce CO content of flue gases from the regenerator to negligible amounts.
