    摘要: A spherical bearing with selectable electrical conductivity includes a bearing body having a spherical supporting surface, a layer of electrically insulating material and a housing having a concave spherical seating surface which form a ball joint having a center around which the bearing body may swivel relative to the housing when the housing is not clamped against the insulating layer and bearing body with the force required for operation of the bearing. A first positioning pin of electrically conductive material projects radially through the insulating layer and into a recess formed in the housing. Electrical connection between the housing and the bearing body is provided by a compression spring which bears against the recess and the first positioning pin. A second positioning pin of electrically insulating material may be selected in lieu of the first positioning pin and spring to provide a bearing configuration wherein the body is insulated from the housing.

    摘要: A method of salvaging a pipe conduit which has a predetermined inner diameter and is buried under ground, especially a sewer pipe includes the steps of soaking a resin-absorbing inner layer of a lining hose which further includes an impermeable outer layer that outwardly adjoins and surrounds the inner layer and has an outer diameter which is slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the pipe conduit to be salvaged with an amount of a resin that exceeds that needed for saturating the inner layer. The outer layer is perforated to form a plurality of flow-through openings for the resin therein. The lining hose is subsequently introduced in its collapsed state into the pipe conduit. Finally, the lining hose is shaped to conformingly line the pipe conduit by causing a fluid to flow at a superatmospheric pressure into an auxiliary hose at least partially received in the lining hose and including a turned-over region with attendant gradual advancement of the turned-over region of the auxiliary hose into the lining hose and escape of the excess amount of the resin through the flow-through openings.

    摘要: A gathering machine wherein a chain conveyor has pushers which advance below a row of platforms receiving sheets from discrete magazines. An orbiting arm in the region of each platform carries an elastic cap which engages a freshly delivered sheet to press it against the upper side of the respective platform and to accelerate such sheet in the direction of movement of the pushers so that the speed of sheets approximates or equals the speed of pushers not later than when the pushers engage and entrain accelerated sheets. Streams of compressed air are directed against the upper sides of sheets on the platforms by nozzles receiving compressed air through a valve which is closed while the platforms receive fresh sheets. The sheets which are removed from the platforms descend onto a stationary rail to form growing stacks, and such stacks are advanced by the pushers beyond the foremost platform where the fully grown stacks are removed or subjected to further treatment.

    摘要: A filter apparatus has an elongated shaft, a plurality of filtering elements mounted on the shaft and spaced from one another in direction of elongation of the latter, and means for cleaning the filtering elements. The cleaning means includes a source of cleaning medium under elevated pressure and a plurality of nozzle elements communicating with this source. The nozzle elements face toward surfaces of filtering material provided on the filter elements and are turnable relative to these surfaces. The cleaning medium is ejected from the nozzle elements at a pressure between substantially 5 and 100 bar toward the surfaces of the filtering material of the filter elements so that the cleaning medium removes a cake deposited during a filtering process from the surfaces of the filtering material and thereupon also cleans the filtering material of the filter elements.

    摘要: To ensure that a socket formed on a pipe-end in plastically deformable condition is in no part thinner than the pipe material out of which it is made, the pipe-end is first enlarged in diameter and encased within a contour die formed as envelope for the external shape required of the socket. The enlarged pipe-end is then longitudinally compressed to thicken it and internally formed so as to smooth the internal surface of the pipe-end and impose on it the internal shape and dimensions required of the socket.
