    摘要: A process for the preparation of lactates by fermentation of mixtures containing sugars, conversion of the lactic acid obtained during fermentation to its salts, followed by esterification, in whicha) there is added to the fermentation liquor an alkaline earth metal carbonate or bicarbonate so as to neutralize the resultant lactic acid to a degree of at least 90 mol %,b) the resulting fermentation liquor is adjusted to pH 7 to 13 by the addition of NH.sub.3 and CO.sub.2 and the resultant precipitates are separated, andc) the resulting, purified ammonium lactate solution is esterified with an alcohol.

    摘要: A thermoplastic composition containing a ceramic powder per volume fill level of from 40 to 80% together with an oxidic sinter additive is prepared by melting the thermoplastic in a first zone of a mixing section consisting of a plurality of zones, admixing the molten plastic in the adjoining second zone with a suspension of a ceramic powder in an organic solvent which contains a hydrolyzable precursor compound of the oxidic sinter additive in solution, hydrolyzing the precursor compound in the third zone by adding water, removing the solvent and any volatile hydrolysis products by distillation under reduced pressure in the fourth zone, and compressing and extruding the melt containing the ceramic powder from the fifth zone.

    摘要: Wholly aromatic mesomorphic polyesters which form a liquid-crystalline fiber-forming melt below 320.degree. C. and are composed of(a) not less than 10 mol % of repeat units of the formula I ##STR1## (b) a molar amount equivalent to the total amount of components (c) and (d) of repeat units of the formula II ##STR2## (c) from 3 to 20 mol % of repeat units of the formulae III and/or IV ##STR3## and (d) from 5 to 30 mol % of repeat units of the formula V ##STR4## the molar proportions of components a, b, c and d adding up to 100 mol % in each case, the preparation thereof and moldings and coatings prepared therefrom.

    摘要: Polyether-ketones containing the structural unit ##STR1## have a completely linear structure, and are heat-stable and free from crosslinking reactions during processing at from 390.degree. to 420.degree. C.They are prepared by Friedel-Crafts acylation of terephthaloyl chloride or terephthaloyl fluoride with diphenyl ether in hydrogen fluoride as a solvent and with boron trifluoride as a catalyst, the polycondensation reaction being carried out by a method in which the reaction mixture is a homogeneous solution.
