摘要： A continuous assemblage of pots for raising and transplanting seedlings and a method of manufacturing the assemblage is provided, in which it is possible to extend the length of a link piece without folding an extension portion or arranging a slit, thereby making it possible to handle enlargement of the interval between the planted seedlings stably and reliably. A link piece 3 is formed by folding back both ends of a strip-shaped thin film in the length direction, such that approximately one-fourth of the length of the thin film is folded back onto the same face of the in film at each end, then attaching the folded-back portions to the same face of the thin film with a water-soluble adhesive. The link pieces 3 are disposed in two rows in a staggered arrangement in which the folded-back portions 6 are oriented such that they face the folded-back portions 6 of the opposing link pieces 3. Continuous pieces 8 are formed by using a non-water-soluble adhesive to attach both ends in the length direction of each link piece 3 to the opposing link pieces 3. Individual pots 2 are formed between the opposing link pieces 3. Therefore, it is possible to extend the length of the link piece 3 without folding an extension portion or arranging a slit, as in the conventional continuous assemblage of pots, thereby making it possible to handle enlargement of the interval between the planted seedlings stably and reliably.

摘要： An exhaust gas purifying apparatus comprising a first and a second casings having expansion chambers, respectively, a third casing arranged between the first and second casings to form a passage therebetween, an inlet pipe introducing the exhaust gas into the first expansion chamber, and an outlet pipe discharging the exhaust gas from the second expansion chamber, whereby a muffler is constituted. The apparatus also comprises a filter arranged in the third casing to trap particulates in the exhaust gas, and a heater arranged adjacent to the filter on the side of the second expansion chamber to burn the particulates deposited on the filter, to regenerate the filter. A flow control unit, comprising a bypass and a valve therein, is arranged such that the exhaust gas normally flows through the filter and the heater, and when the filter is regenerated, at least a part of the exhaust gas flows in reverse through the heater and the filter. This exhaust gas purifying apparatus is built-in to the muffler.

When an operating member is released from its lock, it is pulled along with the sliding door, by a uniform force. To start movement of the operating member, a pushing member mounted on a slidable member is pushed by the spring forces of two coil springs, thus aiding the operation of pushing the operating member and permitting quick and smooth start of movement of the operating member, sliding door, etc. With the screwing of an adjustment screw, the spring force of an adjustment spring is adjusted. The adjusted spring force causes a pushing member to be pushed against a guide member via a pivotal member and a pushing member to effect adjustment of the speed of movement of the operating member for braking action.

摘要： Decay-resistant paper suitable for the manufacture of a pot for raising and transplanting seedling is the one partly containing decayable portions, which is prepared by heating paper made of a natural fiber, or a fiber blend composed of a natural fiber and a synthetic fiber, and impregnated with a compound capable of crosslinking the paper cellulose, at a temperature causing the reaction of antidecay treatment and at a temperature causing no such reaction in different portions. Such decay-resistant paper partly containing decayable portions can be easily prepared by bringing the above-mentioned paper impregnated with a compound capable of crosslinking the paper cellulose into contact in a single step with a heating apparatus comprising a heating part of a temperature causing the reaction of antidecay treatment and a heating part of a temperature causing no such reaction. As such a heating apparatus, may be used the one in which a rotary roll heater or a press-type heating plate is coated with a jacket having openings which is made of a material such as iron, copper and aluminum.

摘要： The invention relates to a multiple pot comprising individual pots interconnected by connector portions so as to be capable of being pulled out. The multiple pot is used to raise and transplant seedlings of plants. The invention also relates to a method of fabricating the pot. The pot is designed especially to promote growth of roots across the side walls of the individual pots after transplantation. Also, the resistance encountered when the multiple pot is unfolded is reduced. Further, the individual pots are uniform in size. These feature arise from the facts that the connector portions are formed by applying a waterproof paste discontinuously and that a water-soluble paste is not applied around the edges of the individual pots created when the multiple pot is unfolded. Hence, a coating of the paste is formed in none of these portions. The multiple pot is fabricated by continuously carrying out three steps. At the first step, the waterproof paste is applied in a given pattern while continuously pulling out two continuous thin films. At the second step, folds are formed in the resulting belt, and the belt is folded in a zigzag fashion. This state is maintained. At the third step, the water-soluble paste is applied to the front side and the rear side of the belt alternately up to each fold. Then, the belt is folded, and pressure is applied to it to stick together the folded belts.
