    摘要: Methods and apparatuses for forming a nonwoven web are described herein. The apparatus includes a mixing partition defining one or more openings therein that permit fluid communication between two fluid flow streams, at least one of which includes a fiber. The apparatus also includes an enclosed region surrounding at least a portion of the mixing partition. The enclosed region is adapted to provide an applied pressure to a fluid flow stream to urge the stream through one or more of the openings in the mixing partition. The apparatus also includes a receiving region designed to receive at least a combined flow stream and form a nonwoven web by collecting fiber from the combined flow stream.

    摘要: By specifically orientating an interior surface with an applied chemical additive in a multi-ply web with respect to the crimping roll, the ply attachment strength between the plies can be increased. In one aspect, a three-ply facial tissue product has the middle ply treated with a virucidal chemical additive. The three plies are crimped together such that the interior surface with the virucidal chemical additive faces the protuberances of a crimping roll as the plies are crimped together. When crimped in this manner, the variability in the ply attachment strength between the first outer ply and the middle ply as compared to the ply attachment strength between the middle ply and the second outer ply is reduced.

    摘要: The present invention reduces the normally marked yellowing of paper which is at least partially based on lignin-containing pulps.The invention relates to paper produced from fibre material and other paper ingredients in the form of at least one chemical.
