摘要: In a connection oriented mode communication system, a communication connection is established as an alternative connection substitutive for a currently working communication connection so that the alternative connection connects the couple of node apparatus connected through the currently working communication connection to each other by way of a route physically different from that of the currently working communication connection. According to the above arrangement, it becomes possible to carry out maintenance, moving of facility or the like of a network including the currently working connection without interrupting the service which is provided through the currently working connection.

摘要: A NMS for controlling the network provides a SoftPVC connection request comprising information associated with a specified relay node to a call-out node, when setting a path passing through the specified relay node. The call-out node prepares a SETUP message comprising information associated with the specified relay node, and transmits the message to nodes existing on the post stage. Thereafter, the SETUP message reaches the call-in node through the specified relay node, to thereby perform the signaling procedure, and as a result, a path from the call-out node to the call-in node passing through the specified relay node is set and established.

摘要: An electrolytic capacitor is provided, comprising a capacitor element constituted in the way that an anode foil and a cathode foil with a lead for external connection connected thereto, respectively, are wound, with a separator intervening between them, and a cylindrical metal case, having a bottom, including the capacitor element, and a sealing plate for sealing an opening of the metal case, wherein a gel-like polymer having ion conductivity is formed inside and outside part of the above described capacitor element, and the above described gel-like polymer firmly attached to an inside the above described metal case, and thus the capacitor element is fixed. The gel-like polymer having conductivity is a mixture with an acrylic copolymer, to which an electrolytic solution is infiltrated to uniformly distribute the electrolytic solution. Thereby, an aluminum electrolytic capacitor having high breakdown voltage and high heat resistance, and at the same time excellent strengthened mechanical property against vibration demanded for a capacitor.

摘要: A front surface of the opposite electrode of a liquid crystal display panel is formed in a curved shape. The relation between the reflecting surface of the pixel electrode and the curved surface of the opposite substrate is defined so that a leaving direction of the light that is reflected by the first face of the opposite substrate is different from a leaving direction of light that is emitted from the first face of the opposite substrate after having been reflected by the pixel electrodes through the liquid crystal layer. Thus, undesired light on the front surface of the opposite substrate is separated from light that is displayed. Consequently, an image free of dazzling and deterioration of contrast ratio due to undesired reflected light can be obtained with a high contrast ratio. In a display apparatus containing the reflection type liquid crystal display, an incident surface to a dichroic prism is an inclined surface including a curved surface, not a surface that is perpendicular to the optical axis. Thus, signal light that is reflected on each reflection type liquid crystal display panel and that is displayed can be separated from undesired light that is reflected on the surface of the dichroic prism. Thus, an image with a high quality, and a high contrast ratio can be displayed.

摘要: An electromagnetic waveform developing in synchronism with a system power supply by a partial discharge of electric equipment such as a power distribution device is received by an antenna 1. From the electromagnetic waveform of measurement frequency included in the received signal, there are extracted a component changing according to the frequency of the system power supply and a component changing at the frequency twice that of the system power supply. The presence or absence of discharge is determined from the magnitude of each of the extracted components, thereby detecting a partial discharge.

摘要: An ATM exchange system which handles fixed-length cells, such as an ATM exchange, is designed in such a manner that even when a failure occurs particularly in an interface unit or an ATM switch section, downstream stations can be informed of the failure reliably and that when some failure is detected, counting of a charge counter is disabled to always ensure proper charging. For a method of matching between software and hardware in the ATM exchange system including the ATM switch section having a plurality of line associated sections and firmwares associated with those line associated sections, and a call control processor for controlling the ATM switch section, identifiers of an SVC (Switched Virtual Channel) call and a PVC (Permanent Virtual Channel) call are given to connection information of software on the call control processor, connection data affixed with the identifier of the SVC call is released only on the software on the call control processor during a restarting process of the call control processor, and a request to release the SVC call to all the line associated sections in the hardware of the ATM switch section, whereby matching of path information between the software on the call control processor and the hardware of the ATM switch section is performed.

摘要: A pump absorbs ink from nozzles of an ink-jet head by increasing an internal space of the pump and discharges the ink by decreasing the internal space. A valve has an absorbing path formed therein and a discharging groove formed thereon, and passes through a wall of the pump. A communicating unit communicates with a first end of the absorbing path of the valve and causes the nozzles of the ink-jet head to communicate with the internal space of the pump through the absorbing path. When the pump absorbs ink from the nozzles of the ink-jet head, the valve moves through the wall of the pump so that a second end of the absorbing path is exposed to the internal space of the pump, and the pump increases the internal space. When the pump discharges ink, the valve moves through the wall of the pump so that the second end of the absorbing path is opened externally and the discharging groove is aligned with the wall of the pump, and the pump decreases the internal space.
