    摘要: A soft, low-resilience, cured rubber composition is prepared by mixing(a) 100 parts by weight of a polymeric material comprising a styrene-butadiene copolymer or styrene-butadiene copolymer mixture having a styrene content of 53 to 75% by weight, and 0 to 40% by weight of the polymeric material of another rubber ingredient,(b) 30 to 300 parts by weight of a filler, and(c) 5 to 100 parts by weight of a plasticizer, adding effective amounts of a vulcanizing agent and a vulcanizing accelerator to the mixture, and then heat curing the mixture. A similar composition further containing a foaming agent may be heat cured into a low-resilience rubber foam. Rubber and foamed rubber compositions have improved vibration-attenuating and shock-absorbing properties.

    摘要: Elastomer compositions comprising (A) ultra high molecular weight copolymer compositions of 1,3-conjugated dienes and aromatic vinyl compounds having a weight average molecular weight of greater than about 1,000,000 and (B) oil are described. The ultra high molecular weight copolymer compositions which are also characterized as having an intrinsic viscosity in tetrahydrofuran of at least about 4.0 may be obtained by a process which comprises polymerizing a 1,3-conjugated diene and a vinyl aromatic compound in a hydrocarbon solvent in the presence of a trimetalated 1-alkyne catalyst which comprises the reaction product of a 1-alkyne containing at least 4 carbon atoms, an organo metallic compound R.sup.o M and a 1,3-conjugated diene wherein R.sup.o is a hydrocarby group, M is an alkali metal, the mole ratio of R.sup.o M to 1-alkyne is about 3:1 and th mole ratio of conjugated diene to 1-alkyne is from about 2:1 to about 30:1. The oil extended elastomer compositions of the present invention preferably contain large amounts of oil such as 80 parts or higher per 100 parts of copolymer.

    摘要: Rubber compounds comprising a specific type of polyorganosiloxane of the following formula ##STR1## in which R and R' independently represent a hydrocarbon substituent and n is an integer of not smaller than 3 provided that at least 6 mole % of the substituents R and R' consists of a hydrocarbon group having Small's molecular attraction constant not smaller than 350. Carbon black is added to the polyorganosiloxane whereby various physical properties are improved including breaking strength, water and hot water resistances. The rubber compound may further comprise at least one organic rubber other than the above polyorganosiloxane.
