Abstract:
An apparatus of a wireless device, such as a user equipment (UE), can include processing circuitry configured to perform one or more of the handover-related techniques disclosed herein. For example, when associated with moving with a plurality of mobile devices from coverage of a first cell to a second cell, the processing circuitry can detect the second cell. One or more parameters of the second cell can be measured. The one or more parameters can be communicated to one or more other mobile devices of the plurality of mobile devices.
Abstract:
Aspects of mmWave beam tracking and beam sweeping are described, for example, spatial searching operations, directional beam forming, complex channel measurement operations, and adaptive power savings. Some aspects include using priori information for mmWave beam tracking and beam sweeping. Some aspects include using priori information to modify a superset of beam criteria to obtain a subset of beam criteria, select a spatial region according to the subset of beam criteria, and initiate a spatial searching operation within the spatial region for establishing a communication link. Some aspects include obtaining complex channel measurements of beams and combining the measurements with priori information to determine a beam for use in a communication link. Some aspects include providing signals from Nr over K1 input/output (IO) links and receiving signals over K1 IO links, and combining signals received over the K1 IO links, using a compression matrix, to generate signals over K IO links.
Abstract:
A wireless cellular device comprises physical layer circuitry configured to transmit and receive radio frequency electrical signals to communicate directly with one or more separate wireless devices using a communication channel of a cellular network and a WiFi communication channel of a WiFi communication spectrum; and processing circuitry configured to initiate transmission of a WiFi subframe via the WiFi communication channel to reserve communication time on the WiFi communication channel for use by the same or a different cellular device during the reserved communication time.
Abstract:
Embodiments of a system and method for establishing secure communications between devices via a wireless network are generally described herein. In some embodiments a device may transmit a public use credential to a second device to establish a secure device-to-device communication session. In some embodiments a device may prompt a user to provide a network-specific credential or utilize a public use credential to establish a communication session with an access point. In some embodiments a communication module in a device may automatically establish a connection with an access point utilizing a public use credential in response to a previously established relationship with the access point. In some embodiments a plurality of devices may establish unique encrypted communication connections with an access point utilizing an identical public use credential. In some embodiments an access point may provide a certificate identifying the access point to a device utilizing a public use credential.
