    摘要： The present invention discloses compounds having the formula ##STR1## wherein one of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is --COR.sup.4, --CN, --CH.sub.2 R.sup.5, halogen, --CH.dbd.CHR.sup.6 or Q and the other is hydrogen or lower alkyl or both R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together form a .gamma.-lactam ring,R.sup.3 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, aryl-alkyl, allyl or a residue which is cleavable in vivo,R.sup.4 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, benzyloxy, amino, lower alkylamino or lower alkyl-lower alkoxyamino,R.sup.5 is hydroxy, --OCONHR.sup.7, --OCONH.sub.2 or a five- or six-membered hetero-aromatic ring which contains N,S and/or O and which is linked via a nitrogen atom,R.sup.6 is --CN or CHO,R.sup.7 is --COCH.sub.2 Cl,Q is a five- or six-membered hetero-aromatic ring which contains N, S and/or O andn is 0, 1 or 2,and the pharmaceutically compatible salts thereof.These compounds are good .beta.-lactamase inhibitors. They can be used for the prevention or treatment of bacterial infections, optionally together with a .beta.-lactam antibiotic.

    摘要： A method and apparatus for installing an underground seal beneath a garbage dump in a strip-like manner. The earth is worked in strips under the garbage dump by the front end of a driving shield. The earth is transported to the rear end of the driving shield, and is compressed at the rear end. A strip-like layer of a waterproof material is inserted, under the protection of a cover of the driving shield. A supply tunnel pipe is constructed and subsequently dismantled, comprised of individual tunnel pipe sections, under the protection of the cover while the driving shield is moved forward. The dismantled tunnel pipe sections of the tunnel pipe are used to erect an additional tunnel pipe which is laterally displaced in a direction toward the next strip-like layer opposite the first one tunnel pipe behind the driving shield. By stabilizing the dismantled pipe sections they need not be dragged along or transported out of the remaining tunnel pipe.

    摘要： An industrial robot of the type comprising a frame mounted for rotation about a horizontal axis and having a pivot arm which is pivotally attached to the frame for pivotally supporting a boom, is provided with a counterbalancing device for equalizing the weight of the boom. The counterbalancing device includes a toggle lever mounted for pivotal motion about a fixed horizontal axis that extends at right angles to the axis of rotation of the frame, a counterweight or piston being connected to the toggle lever at a point spaced from one side of the pivot axis of the toggle lever, and a linkage connecting a second point on the toggle lever, located on the other side of its pivot axis, to the pivot arm at a location that is spaced from the pivot axis between the pivot arm and frame.
