Abstract:
In one aspect, there is provided a method. The method may include intercepting a request including one or more select queries sent to a database; generating a parametric form for each of one or more select queries; processing the parametric form to determine whether the one or more select queries cause an n-query issue comprising multiple selects, when executed at the database; and indicating an exception, when the one or more select queries cause the n-query issue. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A representative parameterized query in a second database query language is generated from a parameterized query in first database query language. By randomly generating a query in the first database query language, translating this query into the second database query language, and then identifying locations of relevant parameters in the translated query, parameter placeholders can then be substituted at the identified locations to provide a parameterized query in the second database query language. A representative parameterized query in the second database query language can be selected by randomly generating multiple parameterized queries and applying statistical methods including Monte Carlo methods.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a curing light having a detachable tip for spot curing of light sensitive composites. A series of tips having varying apertures is also envisioned. The present invention also relates to a curing light having a detachable tip for effecting partial curing of light sensitive composites. The advantage of the tip of the present invention, as compared to prior art tips, is that it is adapted to be fitted over the end of a curing light device without the need to remove any protective cover, focusing lens or similar structure that may be mislaid or lost. It also offers the added advantage of a simplified design without the necessity of having built-in complex optical properties normally served by the protective cover while, at the same time, the tip retains the advantages offered by prior art tips.
Abstract:
A receptacle (500) is provided for coupling an adaptor (10) having a vial (54) including a beneficial agent to an IV administration set (526). In an embodiment, the receptacle (500) includes an injection site (512) for receiving a cannula (26) from the adaptor (10). A resilient divider (516) separates the receptacle (500) into two sections defined by an upper fitment (508) and a lower fitment (510). A container (520) holding a solution is in fluid communication with the receptacle (500) via an inlet (502). A through bore (518) allows the solution from the container (520) to pass through the resilient divider (516) when the adaptor (10) is removed from the receptacle (500).

Abstract:
The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for operating on database queries. One example method includes identifying a parameterized input query in a first database query language. The parameterized input query includes one or more parameter placeholders. A random value is generated, for each parameter placeholder. A concrete instance of the parameterized input query in the first database query language is constructed. The concrete instance of the parameterized input query replaces each parameter placeholder with the corresponding generated random value. A translated output query in a second database query language is generated, from the concrete instance of the parameterized input query. The translated output query includes the generated random values. Each of the generated random values are replaced within the translated output query in the second database query language with a placeholder value associated with the second database query language.
Abstract:
A database query is modified to improve performance by identifying portions of database tables that are likely to be reused and modifying the database query accordingly. According to certain embodiments, the degree of selectivity with which a table is accessed is used to identify tables that are likely to be reused in subsequent database operations.

Abstract:
A brachytherapy device for treating tissue within a cavity of a body. The device may include a first set of tubes configured to be inserted into the cavity through an opening at the surface of the body. Each of the tubes may have an external end and an interior channel beginning at the external end that is configured to receive radioactive material. The external ends of the tubes may be bundled together. The tubes may be of a length that causes the external ends to be near the opening in the surface of the body while the tubes are in the cavity. A seal may be configured to prevent fluid that originates from the cavity from entering into the external ends of the tubes while they are near the opening in the surface of the body. The seal may include a gasket that is pressed against the external ends of the tubes. The gasket may have openings that align with channels within the external ends of the tubes.
Abstract:
A system for producing photographic prints includes a digital camera, having a memory configured for storing images, and a stand-alone printer. The printer includes a docking port and control devices. The docking port is configured to mechanically receive the digital camera. The control devices are configured to allow selection of an image from the memory of the digital camera, and to initiate printing thereof by the printer. The system and method allow a user to deliver an image captured by the digital camera, either as a hard-copy print or as an electronic file, using controls of the printer device.
