    摘要: A digital signal recording apparatus includes first circuitry for forming digital video data, and second circuitry for forming digital audio data. Third circuitry is provided for forming (a) video synchronizing blocks each of which comprises a predetermined number of digital video data and synchronizing data, and (b) audio synchronizing blocks each of which comprises a predetermined number of digital audio data and synchronizing data. Recording circuitry is provided for recording the video synchronizing blocks and the audio synchronizing blocks in tracks formed on a recording medium, the tracks being generally aligned in the direction of travel in the recording medium. The recording circuitry includes time-division multiplexing circuitry for time-division multiplexing a predetermined number of video synchronizing blocks and a predetermined number of audio synchronizing blocks to produce a data sequence for each of the tracks. The time-divison multiplexing circuitry produces different data sequences for neighboring tracks.

    摘要: An interpolation device arranged to input (a) a serial data sequence including a number of sampling data and (b) a serial flag sequence including flag data indicative of the validities of the number of sampling data, and arranged to output an output data sequence by replacing a part of the number of sampling data with interpolation data, includes a first juxtaposing circuit for receiving the input data sequence and the output data sequence and for outputting in parallel objective sampling data to be interpolated and a plurality of sampling data having a high correlation with the objective sampling data. An interpolation circuit is provided for outputting the output data sequence by selectively using the objective sampling data and the plurality of sampling data which are output from the first juxtaposing circuit. A second juxtaposing circuit is provided for receiving the flag sequence and for outputting in parallel a plurality of flag data indicative of validities of a part of the plurality of sampling data. A control circuit is provided for receiving the plurality of flag data which are output from the second juxtaposing circuit and for outputting control data to control the interpolation circuit. Finally, a switching circuit is provided for switching an output characteristic of the control circuit.

    摘要: An apparatus for recording and/or reproducing video signals is disclosed. First and second video signals from an imaging unit and an external video input, respectively, are coupled to the apparatus. A converter circuit selectively acts to form a time expanded or time compressed version of the input video signal depending upon whether the input is the first or second input signal. In the former case, the first input video is recorded on a recording medium and the time expanded version coupled to a display, while in the latter case, the second input video signal is coupled to the display and the compressed version recorded. During the reproduction, the converter circuit also generates a time expanded version of the reproduced signal for coupling to the display.
