Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a secondary battery constructed in a structure in which an electrode assembly having a cathode/separator/anode arrangement is mounted in a battery case made of a laminate sheet including a resin layer and a metal layer, electrode tabs of the electrode assembly are coupled to corresponding electrode leads, and the electrode assembly is sealed in the battery case while electrode leads are exposed to the outside of the battery case, wherein a protective film is attached to coupling regions between the electrode tabs and the electrode leads for sealing the coupling regions between the electrode tabs and the electrode leads. The secondary battery according to the present invention is constructed in a structure in which the coupling regions are sealed by the protective film, unlike a conventional secondary battery constructed in a structure in which the coupling regions between the electrode tabs and the electrode leads are exposed in the battery case. As a result, the electrode leads are protected from external impacts, such as falling of the battery. Consequently, no internal short circuit occurs, and therefore, the safety of the battery is increased.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a method for welding electrode taps of a secondary battery which improves insulation defects generated during welding between the electrode taps and lead parts and an electrode assembly manufactured thereby. The method for welding electrode taps includes performing main welding to connect electrode taps protruded from electrode plates provided in a battery and lead parts electrically connecting the electrode taps to external terminals and having a lead film on the surfaces thereof and, in main welding, a welding part is formed in a partial section of an overlapping region between the electrode tap and the lead part, and a non-welding section is formed between the welding part and the lead film.
Abstract:
A pouch type secondary battery and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. The pouch type secondary battery includes a pouch type case formed by attaching an upper sheet and a lower sheet, and an electrode assembly received in the pouch type case. A polymer coating layer for improving sealability is further included at an outer side portion of the pouch type case, in which the upper sheet and the lower sheet are attached.
Abstract:
Provided are a bi-cell for a secondary battery having improved stability which may reduce shrinkage of a separator, and a method of preparing the bi-cell. The bi-cell for a secondary battery having improved stability according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention is characterized in that a cathode and an anode are alternatingly disposed in a state in which the cathode has one more layer than the anode or the anode has one more layer than the cathode, separators having a bigger size than the cathode and the anode and insulating the cathode and the anode are disposed between the cathode and the anode, and edges of an upper separator and edges of a lower separator, which face to each other having the cathode and the anode disposed therebetween, are attached to each other to form fused portions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an air micrometer. The air micrometer includes a target object accommodation slot having a bottom surface and a ceiling surface to accommodate at least one portion of the target object between the bottom surface and the ceiling surface, and an air spray unit including a nozzle opened in the bottom surface or the ceiling surface to spray the air onto the target object that is accommodated between the bottom surface and the ceiling surface.
Abstract:
Provided are a pouch case of a battery and a secondary battery including the same. Specifically, the present invention relates to a pouch case of a battery, which is formed by stacking an internal resin layer, an intermediate resin layer, and an external resin layer, and a pouch-type secondary battery including the same.
