摘要: A method and device for treating mitral regurgitation includes providing a treatment device comprising an expandable frame, and a leaflet assembly housed inside the frame. The frame has a tenting element. The treatment device is delivered to the aortic position in a patient's aortic valve, and the frame is expanded at the location of the native aortic valve, with the tenting element pushing the aortic curtain and/or anterior leaflet and/or mitral annulus of the mitral valve towards the mitral valve direction. The leaflet assembly replaces the valve function of the patient's native aortic valve.

摘要: A vascular remodeling device is provided that can comprise a proximal section, an intermediate section, and a distal section. During deployment, the proximal section can expand from a compressed delivery state to an expanded state and anchor the device in the afferent vessel of a bifurcation. The distal section can comprise at least one embolization coil that can be positioned within an aneurysm to treat the aneurysm and expand from the compressed delivery state to an expanded state upon deployment. The intermediate section can allow perfusion to efferent vessels. Before, during, and/or after the device is positioned, additional embolic material can be used to treat the aneurysm.

The vessel-engaging member includes a plurality of rows and a plurality of bridges positioned between each adjacent row, each of the bridges connecting a vertex of a first row with a corresponding vertex of a second row. The vessel-engaging member further includes first and second tapered sections coupled to the connection mechanism, each of the tapered sections projecting from a proximal row and tapering in a direction from the proximal row toward the connection mechanism, each of the tapered sections having a length measured along a longitudinal axis, wherein the length of the first tapered section is less than the length of the second tapered section.

摘要: A medical device is disclosed for tissue, body lumen and/or cavity closure inside a body of a patient. In one particular application, the medical device can be used for minimally invasive access and closure of a left atrial appendage of the heart. The medical device generally includes a tool used for grasping the appendage, a closure member, and at least one tool to deploy, control, and position the closure member for closing the appendage. The device can also include an expander tool for expanding the working area around the left atrial appendage to improve visibility during the procedure. In other embodiments, the medical device may include other tools, for example an imaging tool for viewing the target area and/or other tools that are considered useful in a left atrial appendage closure procedure.

摘要: A mitral valve replacement device is adapted to be deployed at a mitral valve position in a human heart. The device has an atrial flange defining an atrial end of the device, a valve body defining a ventricular end of the device, and an annulus support that connects the atrial flange and the valve body, the annulus support including a ring of tabs extending radially therefrom and adapted to engage the native mitral annulus and/or the native leaflet(s) of the human heart. The atrial flange can be seated in the atrium above the native mitral valve annulus in a human heart, and the ring of tabs can engage the native mitral annulus in a manner where the atrial flange and tabs provide a clipping effect to secure the mitral valve replacement device at the native mitral valve position.

摘要: Described herein are vascular remodeling devices that include a proximal section, an intermediate section, and a distal section. During deployment, the proximal section can expand from a compressed delivery state to an expanded state and anchors the device in an afferent vessel of a bifurcation. The distal section expands from the compressed delivery state to an expanded state that may be substantially planar, approximately semi-spherical, umbrella shaped, or reverse umbrella shaped. The distal section is positioned in a bifurcation junction across the neck of an aneurysm or within an aneurysm. The intermediate section allows perfusion to efferent vessels. Before or after the device is in position, embolic material may be used to treat the aneurysm. The distal section can act as a scaffolding to prevent herniation of the embolic material. The device can be used for clot retrieval with integral distal embolic protection.

摘要: A vascular remodeling device and methods for its use are provided. The device can be positionable at a junction of a bifurcation having an aneurysm and that defines afferent and efferent vessels. Ends of the device can be at least partially inserted into the aneurysm or can anchor the device by being at least partially inserted into efferent vessels. The device can act as a scaffolding to inhibit dislodging of objects out of the aneurysm. The device can permit perfusion to the efferent vessels. Embolic material can be inserted in the aneurysm before, during, and/or after positioning the device.

摘要: Described herein are flexible implantable devices or stents that can conform to the shape of vessels of the neurovasculature. In some embodiments, the devices can direct blood flow within a vessel away from an aneurysm or limit blood flow to the aneurysm. In some embodiments, a vascular remodeling device includes a first section and a protruding section. During deployment, the device expands from a compressed configuration to an expanded configuration. The first section anchors the device in an afferent vessel and/or in an efferent vessel of a bifurcation and the protruding section is positioned in the junction of the bifurcation having an aneurysm and across the neck of the aneurysm or at least partially within the aneurysm.
