Abstract: A vehicular communication system includes a vehicle system of a vehicle. The vehicle system is operable to determine a service need of the vehicle. Responsive to the vehicle system of the vehicle determining the service need of the vehicle, the vehicular communication system determines a plurality of service providers (i) that can address the determined service need of the vehicle and (ii) that have at least one driver-desired characteristic of a service provider. The at least one driver-desired characteristic is provided by a driver of the vehicle and includes (i) a food service at the service provider, (ii) a clean service provider and/or (iii) a restroom at the service provider. The vehicular communication system communicates to the driver a list of the determined plurality of service providers. Responsive to the driver selecting a service provider from the list of determined service providers, the vehicle navigates to the selected service provider.

Abstract: A method for testing a vehicular driving assist system includes positioning the vehicle near a target object such that the target object is within a field of sensing of at least one sensor of the vehicle. The vehicle has an ECU having electronic circuitry and associated software, with the electronic circuitry of the ECU including a processor for processing data captured by the at least one sensor to detect presence of objects in the field of sensing of the at least one sensor. The vehicle is maneuvered away from the target object and, as the vehicle maneuvers away from the target object, the data captured by the at least one sensor is recorded. The recorded data is reversed to indicate the vehicle is approaching the target object. The reversed recorded data is provided as an input to the vehicular driving assist system to test the vehicular driving assist system.

Abstract: A communication system for a vehicle includes a communication device disposed in the vehicle. Responsive to the communication device receiving an input from a vehicle system indicative of a potential service need, the communication device requests an input from the driver of the vehicle pertaining to a desired characteristic of a service provider that can address the potential service need. Responsive to the communication device receiving the input from the driver, the communication system determines a plurality of service providers that (i) can address the potential service need and (ii) has the desired characteristic. The communication device communicates a list of potential service providers to the driver and, responsive to a selection by the driver of a selected service provider, the communication system sets a navigation system of the vehicle to the selected service provider.

The interior-viewing camera is operable to capture image data. The vehicular cabin monitoring system, via processing of image data captured by the interior-viewing camera, detects an occupant present in the vehicle. The vehicular cabin monitoring system, via processing of image data captured by the interior-viewing camera, monitors the driver sitting at the driver seat of the vehicle. Control of the vehicle is adjusted based at least in part on the monitoring of the driver and the detected occupant.

Abstract: A method for testing a vehicular driving assist system includes providing a neural network and training the neural network using a database of images, with each image of the database of images including an image of a headlight or a taillight of a vehicle. The trained neural network is provided with an input image that does not include a headlight or a taillight. The neural network, using the input image, generates an output image, with the output image including an image of a headlight or taillight generated by the neural network. The output image is provided as an input to the driving assist system to test the driving assist system.

Abstract: A vehicular driving assistance system includes a camera and a LIDAR sensor disposed at a vehicle. An electronic control unit (ECU) includes at least one data processor. The system, responsive to processing of image data captured by the camera, determines a lane marker ahead of the vehicle. The system, responsive to processing of sensor data captured by the LIDAR sensor, determines a first portion of the lane marker forward of the vehicle and determines a second portion of the lane marker rearward of the vehicle. The system interpolates the lane marker between the first portion and the second portion. The system, responsive to the determined lane marker and the interpolated lane marker, estimates location of a front wheel of the vehicle relative to the lane marker.

Abstract: A vehicular driving assist system includes an electronic control unit (ECU). When the equipped vehicle is driving in the autonomous mode, driving of the vehicle is controlled by the ECU without human intervention. When the vehicle is being driven in a non-autonomous mode, a particular driver at least partially drives the vehicle. The vehicular driving assist system learns a driving style of the particular driver and, when the vehicle is being driven in the non-autonomous mode by the particular driver, the system restricts learning of the driving style of the particular driver responsive to determination by the system that the particular driver is (i) driving the vehicle erratically and/or (ii) performing an illegal driving maneuver. When the vehicle is driving in the autonomous mode, and responsive to the particular driver being present in the vehicle, the vehicle drives in accordance with the learned driving style of the particular driver.
