    摘要: A method of manufacturing tubes filled with powdery and/or granular substances, such as flux-cored welding wires. A tube filled with a powdery and/or granular substance is continuously manufactured by forming a metal strip being fed in its longitudinal direction into an unwelded tube (1a) using forming rolls (2), feeding a powdery and/or granular substance (F) into the unwelded tube (1a) being formed through its opening, butt-welding together fringing edges of the opening, and reducing the diameter of the welded tube (1b). An allowable minimum heat input below which cold cracking occurs and a maximum allowable heat input above which spatters whose diameter is not smaller than 0.83 times the inside diameter of the finished tube are generated are determined in advance, and the butt welding is performed with a heat input larger than the allowable minimum heat input and smaller than the allowable maximum heat input. This eliminates the risk of breaking in reducing the diameter of the welded tube (1b) filled with the powdery and/or granular substance (F).

    摘要: An appropriate gap between a yoke plate and a print lever is to be continuously maintained. A gap spacer (24) is inserted between a yoke plate and a print lever (14a). The print lever (14a) abuts a print-lever abutting portion (24b) of the gap spacer (24) in performing printing on a print surface. The gap spacer (24) is provided with notches (24a), so that nine print-lever abutting portions (24b) are separated and independent from one another. Therefore, even if hitting impact is constantly applied from the print lever (14a), no wrinkle is formed in the gap spacer (24), and an appropriate gap between the yoke plate and the print lever (14a) can be appropriately maintained.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus which enables resolution modes to be readily changed over has a light-emitting element for irradiating a polygonal mirror with a light beam and a controller for controlling the light-emitting element. The controller is connected to an image clock signal changeover circuit that changes the period of an image clock signal to a period which is n (a positive integer) times the former. The controller is arranged such that the image recording density in the horizontal scanning direction can be changed by the image clock signal changeover circuit and/or the controller judges the pulses of a horizontal synchronizing signal output from a photosensor to be valid at intervals of (n-1) pulses, thereby enabling control of the recording density in the vertical scanning direction. An electrostatic latent image with the desired recording density can be obtained on a photosensitive member by selecting a combination of an image recording density changeover operation for the horizontal scanning direction in which the period of the image clock signal is multiplied by n and an image recording density changeover operation for the vertical scanning direction in which the pulses of the horizontal synchronizing signal are judged to be valid at intervals of (n-1) pulses.
