摘要： A method for attaching a weather strip for a motor vehicle, which is capable of securely attaching a base portion of the weather strip to a predetermined position of a flange. The base portion including a bottom wall and an outer side wall and having a generally L-shaped cross-section is curved in a holding section of an attaching device on the side of an end of the flange to enlarge an angle between a bottom wall and an outer side wall of the base portion, and in a pressing section of the attaching device, the bottom wall is pressed against an end of the flange, and a double-sided adhesive tape bonded to the outer side wall is pressed against an exterior face of the flange, whereby the weather strip is attached to the flange.

摘要： A vehicle seal that prevents the sealing capability with respect to a window glass from decreasing. The vehicle seal is attached to a frame defining a window glass opening of a vehicle to support a peripheral portion of a vertically movable window glass. The vehicle seal includes a main body arranged along the frame of the opening. Seal lips are formed integrally with the main body to contact the surface of the window glass. The seal lips include, on at least one side of the glass, an intermediate seal lip and a cover seal lip that is located closer to a center of the opening than the intermediate seal lip. An elastically deformable connecting portion connects the main body and the intermediate seal lip.

摘要： The instant invention provides an aromatic polyamide composition for molding which is of superior rigidity, strength, toughness, dimensional stability, resistance to chemicals, external surface appearance and sliding characteristics in high-humidity, high-temperature environments, which has a low coefficient of linear expansion and which is of low warpage. In a representative composition, 5 to 170 parts by weight of wollastonite of a number average length of approximately 5 &mgr;m to approximately 180 &mgr;m and a number average diameter of approximately 0.1 &mgr;m to 15.00 &mgr;m and the average aspect ratio of which is greater than 3:1 is compounded with 100 parts by weight of semi-aromatic polyamide in which the quantity of aromatic monomer in the monomer component that forms the polyamide is greater than 20 mol % and the melting point of which is greater than 280° C.

摘要： A structure for attaching a door weather strip to a periphery of a doorframe. The doorframe has an inwardly facing protrusion in a projecting edge thereof. A door weather strip has a concave surface formed in its outside surface so as to face and be spaced apart from the protrusion. A channel-shaped groove is formed in a lower part of the concave surface, and a first seal lip is formed along an upper part of the concave surface to close an upper end of a space formed between the projecting edge and the concave surface. A second seal lip is formed along an outside part of the channel-shaped groove to close a lower end of the space, whereby leaked water is received within the channel-shaped groove.

摘要： A weather strip is adhered to a vehicle by a double sided adhesive tape. The weather strip seals between the vehicle body and a door when the door is closed. The weather strip includes a first section extruded from a rubber material, which is vulcanized at a vulcanizing temperature. The weather strip also includes a second section molded from a thermoplastic elastomer at a temperature lower than the vulcanizing temperature. The adhesive tape is applied to the weather strip to span the first section and the second section. This permits a single piece of tape to be continuously applied to the weather strip, which is more efficient.

摘要： A structure attaches weather stripping to the body along the side of a roof of a vehicle body, and is especially useful around a door opening thereof. A molding that extends along the side of a roof for covering an outside surface of the weather strip is attached to the vehicle by securing a base portion of the molding to an outer part of the body wall defining the door opening. The weather strip has a bottom portion and a sealing portion. An outer part of the bottom portion is bonded to the base portion of the molding with a first double-sided adhesive tape, while an inner part of the bottom portion is bonded to the body wall defining the door opening with a second double-sided adhesive tape which is made of a material having a density below that of a material forming the first double-sided adhesive tape.

摘要： A weather strip is provided having a first seal, a second seal and a connecting portion so as to be engaged by a small engaging force with a flange having engaging portions on both sides thereof. The connecting portion, being made of hard material, connects a receiving portion of a first seal and a receiving portion of a second seal. A longitudinal groove or a bending portion made of soft material is provided near the receiving portion of the second seal of the connecting portion. The weather strip can be easily engaged with a seal supporting portion of the flange by a bending action of the connecting portion.
