Abstract:
PET drying apparatus for a machine used to produce PET bottles, comprising a unit in which the raw plastic is dried, before the plastic melting process, in which the PET is heated by using microwave energy and the PET is dehumidified by the outflow of the vented air that is recovered after the blowing process.
Abstract:
A process and relating plant for applying protective coats of paint to containers, especially plastic bottles. The process involves gripping the bottles by means of rotating gripping devices fastened to a conveyor chain, and conveying said bottles to all the different stations involved in the process: coating, drying, and curing. Centrifugation is used to remove any excess coating from the external surface of the bottles, keeping the bottles fastened to the same conveyor chain.
Abstract:
A device and process for conditioning plastic preforms (5) comprising a cooling turret (6) featuring faces fitted with many holders (7) for conditioning preforms (5). This turret rotates around a horizontal axis (X) and carries out a vertical traverse between a top position under an arm (3), which unloads the preforms from the mould, and a bottom position near the table for extracting the preforms (5) from the turret (6). Tie structure of the turret consists of two parallel bars (18, 19) and several joining plates (14) to which the bases of the holders (7) are attached.
Abstract:
A nozzle comprises a hollow element comprising a recess and an injection hole (6) to inject fluid plastic into a mould, a heating tip which penetrates inside the recess and forms, together with the recess itself, a holding cavity (5) into which the channels (14) run. The holding cavity (5) comprises narrow section (52) which separates the holding cavity (5) into a rear portion (51) and a front portion (50), in order to reduce or completely prevent exchanges of fluid plastic between the two areas.
Abstract:
A device (1) for cooling and/or thermal conditioning of hot preforms or parisons (6), in particular of parisons for the production of blow-moulded bottles made of plastic material, limits and/or reduces the deformations of said parisons during cooling by containing the transverse deformations of the end close to the opening (8) of the parison. The device is provided with a tubular portion of prolongation which wraps totally around the parison that rests on its internal surface with one of its sections (9). Described herein is the corresponding method for cooling the parison (6).
Abstract:
A device for compression moulding of plastic objects, comprising a plurality of compression-moulding units (9), each of which comprises a core mould element and a moulding cavity (2) filled by dropping into it a dose of plastic material; each moulding unit (9) is designed to carry out a moulding sequence comprising an operation of opening of the mould, an operation of filling of the moulding cavity, and an operation of closing of the mould. The device further comprises cam mechanisms for taking the moulding cavity outside of the vertical axes of the positive-mould element between the operation of opening of the mould and the operation of filling of the moulding cavity. The invention further relates to a method for the production of plastic objects by means of compression moulding device as described above.
Abstract:
Apparatus for the alignment of a plurality of bottles whose body is in the shape of a parallelepiped, and which are furthermore oriented in such a manner that said bottles are provided with respective axes centered on to the respective mouth, and the respective walls are inclined at either acute or obtuse angles with respect to the plane passing through said axes, in which there is provided a structure comprising two comb-like members (10, 11) and plurality of cylindrical cups (26) inserted in appropriate housings provided between said comb-like members (10, 11), wherein said cups (26) hold respective bottles (3) and are made in such a manner as to ensure that the corners of the bottles (3) are capable of being arranged in contact with the inner surface of said cups; said surface is in the shape of a plurality of plane surfaces spaced from each other by configurations in the shape of an arc of a circle having a radius (R) that is equal to the inner radius of the cups (r).
Abstract:
Infrared oven for heating a plurality of preforms and comprising: a conduit through which said preforms move, a flow of outside air that flows through said conduit from an intake mouth to an exhaust mouth under the action of a blower, a plurality of infrared lamps irradiating the preforms in said conduit, in which a reflective surface is arranged downstream of said lamps and is provided with apertures through which the flow of outside air passes prevailingly. The axis of the preforms is oriented in a manner that is substantially perpendicular to the direction of flow of said outside air. The infrared lamps are arranged substantially downstream of the preforms, and are separated from each other by appropriate intervals through which said flow of outside air passes, in which said flow of outside air first passes through said intervals separating said preforms and then through said intervals provided between said infrared lamps. A reflective grid, provided with apertures for the flow of outside air to partially pass therethrough, is arranged upstream of said preforms.
