Abstract:
The technical problem to be solved by the invention is to change the thickness of the colored resin layer of the preform gradually in the upward or downward direction, by utilizing a tendency of gradual decrease in the thickness of the colored resin layer caused by the flow of the main resin inside the preform mold when the main resin and the colored resin are injected into the mold. The objects of this invention is to provide a biaxially drawn, blow molded bottle having new decorativeness created in which sophisticated color gradations associated with color density are created in the body of this bottle. The means of accomplishing this object involves adjusting the injection pattern including the time of starting and ending the supply of the main resin and the colored resin, and pressure or velocity profiles, reducing the thickness of the colored resin layer in the multi-layered molten resin fluid gradually at an upstream or downstream point of the flow, injection-molding the preform in which a color-gradated portion associated with the thickness of the colored resin layer has been formed, and biaxially drawing and blow molding this preform into a bottle having a color-gradated portion associated with the color density or color shade created on the body of the bottle.

Abstract:
In a pretensioner for a webbing retractor, an upper wall portion of a sealing member extends arcuately around an external periphery of a seal holding portion which is formed integrally with a bottom surface of a piston, and the sealing member includes a side wall portion proximate an inner wall of a cylinder. The sealing member is formed from an elastic material, and may be annular or a ring with an angle of 360 degrees or more. In an emergency state of a vehicle, when the piston is moved by gas pressure, the sealing member is pressed against the bottom surface of the piston by gas pressure, and a diameter of the sealing member is increased. Accordingly, the sealing member provides sealing between the piston and the inner wall of the cylinder.
Abstract:
The shock absorber mechanism for a bicycle (10) is a device mounted between the handlebar stem (4) and fork stem (5) of a bicycle and includes a sleeve case (11), a spring (18), and a free cushion bushing (20). The sleeve case (11) is mounted to the lower edge of the handlebar stem (4) and joins when the upper portion of said fork stem (5) slides freely and does not rotate. The spring (18) is arranged between the sleeve case (11) and the fork stem (5). The free cushion bushing (20) is mounted to the lower edge of the sleeve case (11) and can be freely installed and removed as well as slide on the outer peripheral surface of the fork stem (5) controls relative movement of the handlebar stem (4) and the fork stem (5) caused by friction on the outer peripheral surface of the fork stem (5). One purpose of the present invention is to allow for easy adjustment of the dampening characteristics of a dampener depending on bicycle riding conditions and rider requirements.
Abstract:
A vehicle which goes up and down stairs includes a vehicle body 101, front and rear wheels 102 and 103 provided at the front and rear of the vehicle body 101, respectively, front and rear auxiliary wheels 105 and 107 for lifting up or down the front and rear wheels 102 and 103 by one step of stairs, respectively, a driving unit for driving each wheel, a pivoting unit for pivoting the front and rear auxiliary wheels 105 and 107, sensors 121 to 124 for detecting a riser portion of stairs, and a control unit 120 for controlling the driving unit and the rotating unit in accordance with results of the sensors 121 to 124. Since the vehicle goes up and down stairs by rotation of the auxiliary wheels 105 and 107, a corner portion of the step of stairs is not damaged while the vehicle goes up and down stairs.

Abstract:
An intake air meter for measuring the intake air of an internal combustion engine operates on the principle of an ultrasonic Karman vortex flowmeter. A Karman vortex shedder is disposed in the main intake air passageway of an engine. Ultrasonic waves which are generated by an ultrasonic transmitter are phase modulated by the Karman vortex street which is shed by the vortex shedder. An ultrasonic receiver receives the ultrasonic waves and produces a phase modulated output signal, which is demodulated using a phase locked loop and a low-pass filter. The output of the low-pass filter can be used to count the rate of which Karman vortices are generated by the vortex shedder. A pressure-dependent component in the output signal from the low-pass filter which is caused by pressure variations within the main intake air passageway is removed by compensating means comprising a pressure sensor which measures the air pressure in the vicinity of the vortex shedder, an amplifier which amplifies the AC component of the output of the pressure sensor to equal the amplitude of the pressure-dependent component, an inverter which inverts the amplified output, and a waveform shaper which sums the inverted output and the output from the low-pass filter.
