摘要: A vehicle closure locking system comprising person sensing means, authorization device detection means and a controller, the sensing means being capable of determining whether a person is located in the vehicle and the authorization device detection means being capable of detecting the presence of a co-operating authorization device within the vehicle, wherein the controller is programmed to instruct the detection means and sensing means to commence detecting and sensing respectively in response to a predetermined event and is further programmed to control the locked state of vehicle closure(s) in response to signals supplied periodically by the sensing means and signals supplied periodically by the authorization device detection means.

摘要: Actuator for vehicle door locks provides powered shifting of a mechanism component while permitting manual operation thereof. A motor powers a driver annulus having internal teeth and notches in respective axial zones with each tooth being diametrically opposite a notch. A spring-loaded index across the annulus interior has a tail co-acting with the notches and a head co-acting with the teeth and is guided by fixed structure that it can only move angularly to displace the component to which it is linked, by indexing past a tooth when its tail is in a notch. Powered movement of the annulus causes the teeth to selectively shift the index, but manual displacement of the component causes the index to spring past the relevant tooth.

摘要: A latch mechanism includes a latch bolt moveable between an open position, a first safety position and a closed position. The latch mechanism further includes a power closure system operable to move the latch bolt from the first safety position to the closed position. The power closure system has a transmission path including a drive lever rotatable about a drive lever axis and being engageable with a drive surface of a further transmission path component. The transmission path is operable to connect a power actuator to the latch bolt. The latch mechanism has a first position at which the latch bolt is in the first safety position, the drive lever axis is in a first drive lever axis position, and the drive lever is engaged with the drive surface of the further transmission path component, a second position at which the latch bolt is in the closed position, the drive lever axis is in the first drive lever axis position, and the drive lever is engaged with the drive surface of the further transmission path component, and a third position at which the latch bolt is in the open position, the drive lever axis is in a second drive lever axis position, and the drive lever is disengaged from the drive surface of the further transmission path component.

摘要: A power actuator for a vehicle door locking mechanism includes a power operable actuator lever, a manual locking lever operated by a sill button or the like, and a transmission connector selectively coupling the power operable and manual levers so that they are reciprocated by a drive from the manual lever between locked and unlocked conditions. A superlocking motor is operable to rotate the transmission connector angularly about a longitudinal axis and disengage the connector from at least one of the levers to disable the manual lever and effect superlocking for maximum security.

摘要: An electrical circuit arrangement includes an unlatching actuator, a primary power source and a secondary power source. The electrical circuit arrangement further includes an operator actuated switch and an electrically controlled bypass switch having an energized condition at which the bypass switch adopts a first switching configuration and a de-energized condition at which the bypass switch adopts a second switching configuration. The circuit has a first configuration in which the bypass switch is in the first switching configuration so that the primary power source, the operator actuated switch, the bypass switch and the unlatching actuator are configured so that actuation of the operator actuated switch causes the unlatching actuator to be energized by the primary power source. The circuit has a second configuration in which the bypass switch is in the second switching configuration so that the secondary power source, the operator actuated switch, the bypass switch and the unlatching actuator are configured so that actuation of the operator actuated switch causes the unlatching actuator to be energized by the secondary power source.

摘要: A latch arrangement includes a power control system which can be energized to prevent opening of a door latch by controlling the movement of a release mechanism within a latch. A sensor monitors an operative state of the release mechanism. In the event the sensor detects an unauthorized attempt to open a door, the power control system is energized, thereby preventing unauthorized opening of the latch. The sensor can monitor the direct movement of a door handle. Additionally, or alternatively, the sensor can monitor an internal component within the release mechanism to monitor movements indicative of movement of the door handle.

摘要: A door latch mechanism for a vehicle comprising a release lever operable by a door handle and a transmission path linkage containing a resiliently biased inertia device. During normal operation, the inertia device is biased to form a transmission path that transmits an unlatching movement from the release lever to release a latch bolt of the latch. If an impact on the vehicle creates an acceleration force above a predetermined level, the inertia device moves to break the transmission path, preventing the latch from being unlatched.
