摘要: An actuator includes an electromagnetic coil arrangement that is movable relative to a magnetic field generator; between a first position and a second position of the actuator. The actuator is arranged such that, when the actuator is in the first position, a pulse of current through the electromagnetic coil arrangement produces a region of magnetic field that repels the magnetic field generator from the first position and attracts the magnetic field generator towards the second position to move the actuator to the second position.

摘要: A vehicle closure locking system comprising person sensing means, authorization device detection means and a controller, the sensing means being capable of determining whether a person is located in the vehicle and the authorization device detection means being capable of detecting the presence of a co-operating authorization device within the vehicle, wherein the controller is programmed to instruct the detection means and sensing means to commence detecting and sensing respectively in response to a predetermined event and is further programmed to control the locked state of vehicle closure(s) in response to signals supplied periodically by the sensing means and signals supplied periodically by the authorization device detection means.

摘要: A lock mechanism has a manually actuable element, a lock lever and an actuator, with the manually actuable element connected to the lock lever via a transmission path. The transmission path includes a rigid link with an end defining an abutment for selectively driving the lock lever. A drive feature couples the abutment to the lock lever when the lock lever is rotated between locked and unlocked positions by operation of the manually actuable element. The drive feature decouples the abutment from the lock lever when the manually actuable element is actuated in an attempt to move the lock lever from a superlocked position, allowing the abutment to move relative to the lock lever.

摘要: A latch includes a latch bolt having a closed position and an open position, a pawl having an engaged position wherein the pawl retains the latch bolt in the closed position and a released position wherein the pawl allows the latch bolt to move from the closed position, and an energy storage device. The latch further includes a first drive path operable to couple the energy storage device to the pawl such that the energy storage device acts by releasing energy to assist movement of the pawl from the engaged position to the released position. The latch also includes a second drive path operable to couple the latch bolt to the energy storage device such that during at least a part of the movement of the latch bolt from the closed position to the open position, the latch bolt acts to restore the energy in the energy storage device.

摘要: A latch mechanism includes a release lever and a lock lever arranged for rotation about a common axis of rotation. The release lever has a first position and a second position which correspond to a first position and a second position, respectively, of the lock lever. The release lever has a third position. Relative rotation between the release lever and the lock lever is prevented when the release lever and the lock lever are moved between their first and second positions. When the release lever in the third position, the release member is biased towards its second position by a resilient member. The first positions of the release lever and the lock lever correspond to a locked status of the latch mechanism, the second positions of the release lever and lock lever correspond to an unlocked status of the latch mechanism, and the third position of the release lever correspond to a released status of the latch mechanism.
