    Abstract: An object state determining apparatus comprising: a first light source, configured to generate first light in a first direction, wherein first reflected light is generated while the first light is emitted to an object; a second light source, configured to generate second light in a second direction, wherein second reflected light is generated while the second light is emitted to the object; at least one light sensor, configured to sense a first light amount of the first reflected light and a second light amount of the second reflected light; and a determining unit, configured to determine a state of the object based on the first light amount and the second light amount. The object state determining apparatus can be easily fixed to an object to be detected and can efficiently detect the state of the object.

    Abstract: An optical pointing device for detecting the direction of the user's finger is provided. The optical pointing device comprises a cover, a light source and a sensor. The cover comprises a press portion with a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, as well as a side wall extending downwards from the periphery of the second surface. The light source projects a main beam onto the press portion of the cover. The main beam then forms a first beam passing through the press portion and a second beam reflected by the second surface. The sensor is adapted to receive the second beam reflected by the second surface, and detect the second beam by an algorithm to output the first displacement position. In addition, the light source and the sensor are covered by the cover, while the side wall is a flexible side wall.

    Abstract: There is provided an optical accelerometer including a first substrate, a second substrate, a spacer and a processing unit. The first substrate includes a frame, a movable member and at least one elastic member. Periodic slots are formed on the movable member along at least one direction to be served as a diffraction grating. The elastic member is connected between the frame and the movable member. The second substrate includes at least one sensing unit configured to detect a diffraction pattern formed by the diffraction grating. The spacer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate to define a predetermined height. The processing unit is coupled to the sensing unit and configured to calculate a 3D acceleration according to the diffraction pattern.

    Abstract: There is provided an electronic product that performs the obstacle avoidance, positioning and object recognition according to image frames captured by the same optical sensor. The electronic product includes an optical sensor, a light emitting diode, a laser diode and a processor. The processor identifies an obstacle and a distance thereof according to image frames captured by the optical sensor when the laser diode is emitting light. The processor further performs the positioning and object recognition according to image frames captured by the optical sensor when the light emitting diode is emitting light.
