Abstract: A display system includes: a display device in a mobile body; a concave mirror for displaying, in a first mode, a virtual image of a display image shown by image light emitted by the display device; and a plane mirror for reflecting, in a second mode, a rear-view image shown by light that has entered the mobile body. In a top view of the mobile body, the display device and the concave mirror are disposed such that a straight line connecting centers of the display device and the concave mirror has a predetermined angle relative to a front-and-rear direction of the mobile body. A normal direction at a center of a concave mirror surface of the concave mirror when the first mode is functioning and a normal direction normal to a plane mirror surface of the plane mirror when the second mode is functioning are not parallel.

Abstract: A display system according to the present disclosure includes at least a first reflective surface and a second reflective surface on an optical path leading from a display device to a last reflective surface. The first reflective surface reflects a light beam emerging from the display device toward the second reflective surface. The second reflective surface reflects, toward the last reflective surface, the light beam reflected from the first reflective surface. The light beam emerging from the display device travels along a first optical path leading from a display screen of the display device to the first reflective surface and then travels along a second optical path leading from the second reflective surface to the last reflective surface. The first optical path and the second optical path intersect with each other before the light beam impinges on the last reflective surface.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a display system including an image producing unit and an optical system part. The image producing unit produces an image on a display screen by letting a light beam, which eventually forms a virtual image based on the image produced, emerge from the display screen. The optical system part forms a left-eye image and a right-eye image on a user's left and right eyes, respectively, and thereby projects the virtual image toward a user's left and right eyes by reflecting and/or refracting the light beam emerging from the display screen. The optical system part has an image distortion generation factor to make an image distortion of the left-eye image different from an image distortion of the right-eye image.

Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes a lens optical system, a color image sensor that includes at least first pixels and second pixels, and a first optical element array disposed between the lens optical system and the color image sensor. In the imaging apparatus, the lens optical system includes optical regions, and the optical regions include a first optical region and a second optical region that differ in terms of at least one selected from the group of spectral transmittance characteristics and transmissive polarization characteristics. The first pixels include respective spectral filters having mutually different spectral transmittance characteristics, and the second pixels include respective spectral filters having at least one type of spectral transmittance characteristics. The first optical element array directs light that has passed through the first optical region to the first pixels and directs light that has passed through the second optical region to the second pixels.

Abstract: A head-up display device includes a display element, a movable mirror, one or more first and second mirrors, and an movable unit. The display element emits light to form a display image. The movable mirror first reflects light emitted from the display element. The one or more first and second mirrors reflect light reflected off the movable mirror to project a virtual image. The movable unit adjusts a position of the movable mirror to adjust a projection distance of the virtual image. The movable mirror is disposed at a position such that light incident to the movable mirror is non-parallel to a normal of the movable mirror.

Abstract: A head-up display device includes a display element, a beam splitter, a movable mirror, first and second mirrors, and a movable unit. The display element emits light to form a display image. The beam splitter being an optical member that reflects light or through which light is transmitted, reflects light emitted from the display element. The movable mirror reflects light reflected off the beam splitter. The first and second mirrors that reflect light movable mirror, or through which the light transmitted through the beam splitter is transmitted, project a virtual image. The movable unit adjusts a distance between the movable mirror and the beam splitter to adjust a projection distance of the virtual image.
