Abstract: A luminaire includes an excitation light source which emits excitation light. A first fluorescent plate includes a first principle surface disposed across the optical axis of the excitation light. A first phosphor layer is arranged discretely along the first principle surface. A second fluorescent plate is arranged at the downstream side of the excitation light with respect to the first fluorescent plate. The second fluorescent plate includes a second principle surface disposed across the optical axis. A second phosphor layer is arranged discretely along the second principle surface. The second phosphor layer has a wavelength conversion characteristic different from a wavelength conversion characteristic of the first phosphor layer. A support supports the first fluorescent plate and the second fluorescent plate such that at least one of relative positions and rotations of the first fluorescent plate and the second fluorescent plate are adjustable.

Abstract: An n-type nitride semiconductor layer has at least an n-type AlGaN layer. The nitride semiconductor light emitting device includes a passivation film. A negative electrode includes second contact electrodes that are each in ohmic contact with the n-type AlGaN layer, and a second pad electrode that covers the second contact electrodes and is in non-ohmic contact with the n-type AlGaN layer. A metal layer, which is in non-ohmic contact with the n-type AlGaN layer, of metal layers of the second pad electrode is made from material by which reflectivity of ultraviolet radiation emitted from a luminous layer is less than 50%.

Abstract: A light-emitting apparatus includes a first light guide, a converter, a second light guide, and a return. The first light guide includes a first photoreceptor, a second photoreceptor, and a leak. The first light guide guides first light radiated by a radiation apparatus and received by the first photoreceptor and the second photoreceptor. The leak allows second light to be leaked out in a direction crossing a light-guiding direction. The second light is part of the first light. The converter is disposed along the first light guide and converts a wavelength of the second light leaked out of the first light guide. The second light guide does not include the leak and guides third light radiated by the radiation apparatus toward the second photoreceptor. The return returns the third light guided by the second light guide.

A light attenuator attenuates stray light that exits the first reflector. The first reflector includes a first aperture that introduces the light from the light projector into an interior of the first reflector and a second aperture that exits the stray light from the first reflector. The light attenuator includes a third aperture through which the stray light that exits the first reflector passes. An aperture area of the third aperture is smaller than an aperture area of the second aperture.
