    摘要: Fitting that is compatible with standard fittings is described. In one embodiment, the end of one of a matched set of fittings is provided with an elastomeric material. The elastomeric material deforms when the matched fittings are coupled, resulting in a reduced volume. In certain embodiments, a tube is provided through the tube which is attached at a proximal end and extends to the distal end of the elastomeric material. When the fitting are coupled the tube protrudes past the end of the elastomeric material and into the coupled fitting. In certain embodiments the fitting otherwise conforms to International Standard ISO 594.

    摘要: A pedicle screw coupling construct for a pedicle screw construct provides fixation of angular orientation thereof relative to a pedicle screw independent of fixation of a received spinal rod to the coupling construct. The pedicle screw construct forms one component or element in a spinal fixation system. The independent fixation coupling construct also provides for fixation of the angular orientation of the coupling construct while the coupling construct has received the spinal rod. In another form, a coupling head or construct is configured to allow a pedicle screw shaft to pass therethrough but retain the pedicle screw head for rotation of the coupling head about the pedicle screw head. The coupling head or construct is also configured to allow at least a 45° arc of pivot or articulation about a pedicle screw shaft relative to a longitudinal axis of a spinal rod received in the body. This allows the head with a received spinal rod to fold, bend or pivot relative to the pedicle screw shaft, particularly to a greater degree than the prior art.

A tongue-and-groove configuration between the various plate segments provides a constant thickness over the dynamizing portions. Various bone screw anti-backing, anti-rotation or locking devices for cervical bone plates are also provided that allow releasable locking of bone screws relative to the cervical plate.

    摘要: A dielectric loaded cavity filter having a housing and a cover and defining at least two adjacent cavities having respective dielectric resonators mounted therein and separated by a transverse partition defining a coupling window in the housing. In one form, the coupling window has two spaced opposing sidewalls confronting each other, and vertically offset shoulders intermediate their length. A conductive coupling strip is secured to the shoulder of one sidewall and extends across the coupling window and over the shoulder of the other sidewall. A tuning screw is secured by threading to the housing and has an outer free end accessible from the exterior of the filter, and an internal end disposed adjacent the coupling strip, whereby when the tuning screw is rotated, the internal end of the screw moves toward and away from the coupling strip in a direction perpendicular to the cover for tuning without requiring access to the coupling strip. In another form, no coupling strip is present and the tuning screw inner end confronts a shoulder of a sidewall.

    摘要: A foundation structure comprises a plurality of light metal parts which assemble and secure in place prior to placement of foundation in situ concrete. Assemblage is supported by coarsely threaded rods which screw directly into earth and attach to parts by various methods. Some parts remain in place as permanent supporting members for superimposed structure. Others, which generally form surfaces of foundation concrete, subsequently relocate to become either similar permanent structural members, or inventory for subsequent projects. Use of a computer aided design program assists in optimal configuration of parts, and creates a list of parts with necessary cut and piecemark information for automated fabrication of any particular length parts. This information, along with a computer produced schematic plan, allows use of parts as collocation elements which define a distinct foundation design by simple field assembly. Variations in assemblage of parts accommodate requirements of site, user needs, and materials of subsequent structure. Specific versions offer an integral joist floor structure, a free standing wall, or a concrete slab on grade. Interface with subsequently superimposed walls is specific to those of either framed members, or concrete type materials.

In one embodiment, the IR spectrometer includes a housing sized and arranged to house the light source, the grating, the MEMS array, the controller, the detector, to and the power source in a hand-held device.
