Abstract: Systems and methods for using and regenerating a catalyst for producing acetic acid from ethane are disclosed. Feed stream comprising ethane and an oxidant including oxygen is flowed to a reactor, in which a catalyst comprising MoVNbPd oxide is disposed. The ethane and the oxidant are reacted in presence of the catalyst under reaction conditions sufficient to produce acetic acid. When the catalyst's ability to catalyze the reaction between the ethane and the oxidant is reduced by a predetermined percentage, the flow of the feed stream to the reactor is ceased. A regenerating gas stream is flowed through the reactor to contact the regenerating gas stream with the catalyst under operating conditions to increase the catalyst's ability to catalyze the reaction between the ethane and the oxidant.

Abstract: The present disclosures and inventions relate to a catalyst composition for the selective conversion of a hydrogen/carbon monoxide mixture (syngas) to C2+ hydrocarbons. The composition includes a catalyst having the formula CoMnxSiyOz, wherein the molar ratio of x is from about 0.8 to about 1.2; wherein the molar ratio of y is from about 0.1 to about 1.0; and wherein the molar ratio of z is a number determined by the valence requirements of Co, Mn, and Si wherein the catalyst has a Scherrer crystallite size of less than about 40 nm, wherein the Si is silica.

Abstract: A reactor for hydrocarbon production that separates wax reaction products from lightweight gaseous reaction products. The reactor has a housing, a catalyst bed, a product recovery zone, and a stripping zone. The catalyst bed can be provided in multi-tubular and other fixed bed configurations. The stripping zone receives light-weight gas reaction products from the product recovery zone, while a gas outlet of the housing receives non-lightweight gaseous hydrocarbon reaction products from the product recovery zone. A wax outlet of the housing receives wax products from the product recovery zone.
