    Abstract: A negative electrode terminal includes a flange, and a connection portion disposed on a first surface of the flange. The connection portion is inserted into a terminal attachment hole. The negative electrode terminal includes a first area made of aluminium or an aluminium alloy, and a second area made of copper or a copper alloy. In the flange, the second area is disposed adjacent to the first surface, and the first area is disposed adjacent to the second surface. A boundary between the first area and the second area is disposed between the first surface and the second surface. A thinnest portion of the first area of the flange in the thickness direction of the flange has a thickness of larger than or equal to 0.3 mm. An external electroconductive member made of aluminium or an aluminium alloy is welded to the flange to form a welded portion.

    Abstract: An electric storage device includes an electrode body including a plurality of first electrode plates and a plurality of second electrode plates, a first electrode output terminal, a second electrode output terminal, a first current collector, and a second current collector. The first electrode plates have first tabs that protrude from the electrode body and have conductivity and are connected to the first current collector. The first tabs are stacked to form a first tab stack, one surface of the first tab stack is in contact with the first current collector, and a first protective sheet is disposed on and in contact with the other surface on the side opposite to the one surface. On the periphery of the first protective sheet, there is a corner formed by two adjacent sides. At least the corner of the first protective sheet is joined to the first tab stack.

    Abstract: An electrode body, which includes a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate, includes a positive-electrode tab group that is composed of a plurality of positive electrode tabs. The positive-electrode tab group is disposed between a sealing plate and an electrode body, and a positive-electrode current collector includes a base portion and a tab connection portion that is folded from an end of the base portion. The base portion of the positive-electrode current collector is connected to a positive electrode terminal, and the tab connection portion of the positive-electrode current collector is connected to the positive-electrode tab group. A fuse portion is formed in the positive-electrode current collector, and a first-insulator second region of a first insulator, which is connected to an inner insulator, is disposed between the base portion and the tab connection portion.

    Abstract: A battery having an electrode assembly including a positive-electrode and a negative-electrode terminal attached to a sealing plate. The electrode assembly has surfaces parallel to a direction in which the positive and the negative electrode plates are stacked, the surfaces including one surface that faces the sealing plate. The positive and the negative electrode plate respectively include positive-electrode and a negative-electrode tabs respectively electrically connected to the positive-electrode and the negative-electrode terminals through positive-electrode and negative-electrode current collectors disposed between the electrode assembly and the sealing plate. The positive-electrode and the negative electrode tabs are welded to the respective positive-electrode and negative-electrode current collectors. A porous body that is electrically insulative is disposed between the one surface and the positive-electrode current collector and between the one surface and the negative-electrode current collector.

    Abstract: A positive electrode collector has a part connected to a positive electrode terminal and a part connected to a positive electrode tab. In the positive electrode collector, a fuse portion is provided between the part connected to the positive electrode terminal and the part connected to the positive electrode tab. In the positive electrode collector, a region closer to the part connected to the positive electrode terminal than the fuse portion is referred to as a first region, and a region closer to the part connected to the positive electrode tab than the fuse portion is referred to as a second region. An insulating plate as an insulating member disposed between the positive electrode collector and an electrode body is connected to the second region, and the second region is prevented from moving toward the first region after the fuse portion blows.
